Job Description:
1. Lead and oversee the Savoury Application Laboratory, managing projects from initiation through adoption or termination in line with defined technical, quality, and business parameters.
2. Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Savoury Application Team, fostering close collaboration with Flavour R&D, Category, Portfolio to deliver innovation, customer solutions, and new business wins.
3. Define, implement, and monitor measurable KPIs to ensure team performance is aligned with regional and corporate business objectives.
4. Work closely with Portfolio for library updates and improvement projects
5. Act as the first point of contact for Project Management, using project tools for project assignment and monitoring for R&D savoury team.
6. Drive continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating, and implementing new application technologies to enhance or optimize existing processes.

8. Evaluate and recommend new application methods, ingredients, projects, equipment, and technologies, proactively addressing current and potential technical challenges.
9. Lead the introduction, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of application machinery to strengthen prototype processing capabilities.
10. Guide, mentor, and develop technologists to ensure effective project execution, proactive innovation, and smooth project progression.
11. Deliver structured training and coaching to technologists and affiliates on new technologies, equipment, and application methodologies.
12. Act as a regional application consultant, providing technical training, knowledge transfer, and advisory support to affiliates.
13. Ensure application laboratories and equipment are maintained in safe, efficient, and compliant operating condition.
14. Uphold high standards of laboratory housekeeping, safety, and operational discipline.
15. Provide leadership and resources to ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management systems, legal requirements, and internal procedures.
16. Promote EHS awareness through training and engagement, maintaining documented evidence of compliance and continuous improvement.
17. Ensure adherence to Charter of Corporate Behaviour, Code of Conduct, and Employee Handbook requirements.
18. Perform additional job-related duties as required to support business and organizational needs.
Job Requirements: Min Degree in Food Science/Chemistry or similar w min 8 yrs of relevant technical experience as well as managing team experience, preferably in flavour & fragrance industry.
