Responsibilities:
- Manage financial technical accounting activities, including premium and claims accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate allocation of premium receipts, resolve collection-related queries, monitor and expedite outstanding broker balances, and prepare credit control reports for management review.
- Coordinate with Finance to validate recorded premiums.
- Prepare and deliver internal technical reports, including monthly written and paid premium and claims bordereaux for submission to the London office.
- Process and maintain accurate ledger entries related to premium and claims transactions.
- Maintain robust internal controls over credit management processes, ensuring proper documentation and audit/testing readiness.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships and effective processes to facilitate seamless communication between the regional offices.
- Lead and manage the Credit Control team, driving high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide support to management on ad hoc projects, initiatives, and other assigned duties as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge or experience in various Direct and Facultative Insurance classes of business would be advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Team Lead capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and had experience with SUN Accounting System.
