RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, Employment Development will oversee employment work streams development, open employment development, transition programme development and also oversee the right siting of PWIDs to jobs through Hi Job!, Job Placement and Job Support Programme (JPJS). This includes being a key person to liaise, develop and establish strong partnerships with potential partners to strategically drive employment opportunities and work engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Employment Development
- Manage JPJS project development to enhance vocational and soft skills training, facilitating the transition of PWIDs to open employment.
- Develop customized solutions to expand employment opportunities for PWIDs across MINDS facilities.
- Analyze market trends and leverage technology to identify and create innovative new job paths for PWIDs.
Collaborations
- Work closely with RCS leadership and related staff to co-ordinate implementation, manpower and resources for employment projects.
- Work with MINDS Services to augment a holistic approach towards employment development.
- As MINDS point of contact (POC) with SGE on all employment development matters.
Partnership Management
- Identify and acquire new partners for collaboration or trial for employment of PWIDs.
- Work with external stakeholders to coordinate resources, maximize employment opportunities, and negotiate collaboration contracts.
Research and Development of Employment Landscape
- Understand employment landscape and future trends for identifying new opportunities and consider improvement over the current employment models.
Grant / Funding Application
- Identify appropriate and liaise with funding bodies for funding opportunities to support employment development that aligns with MINDS strategic directions.
- As the POC with funding bodies on the details of funds and grants management, tracking and reporting of outcome and management reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience in a middle management role, including experience leading and managing a team of approximately 8-10 staff.
- Strong command of English; proficiency in Mandarin will be an beneficial to communicate with stakeholders who only understand Mandarin.
- Demonstrated business acumen with a proven track record of driving and implementing business initiatives.
- Experience in business development and/or project management is preferred.
- Experience in the disability sector and familiarity with the workforce ecosystem will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the Supported Employment framework and service delivery model will be an added advantage.
