About Us
At Scribo Learning, we’re building the future of writing development. We believe that writing is thinking, and thinking changes life outcomes. Our mission is simple: help more students learn how to express ideas clearly, confidently, and independently.
We believe AI should support learning, not shortcut it. That belief shapes everything we build: tools that strengthen skills, respect the role of educators, and keep students doing the hard (and important) work of thinking for themselves.
We’re a fast-moving team working at the intersection of education, design, and AI — building things that are used in real classrooms, by real teachers, with real impact. If you care about craft, learning, and building technology that actually matters, you’ll feel at home here.
What You’ll Do
- Build and ship frontend features in React, creating maintainable, performant web applications.
- Use agentic AI workflows (multi-step agents, tool-calling, evals, guardrails) to compress build time dramatically, turning product intent into working systems in hours or days, not weeks.
- Design and run structured AI build systems (not just prompting in a chat window) — agents, tools, evaluation loops, and repeatable workflows.
- Know exactly where AI stops being helpful and step in without hesitation. You can debug, extend, and own the code when the model taps out.
- Collaborate with backend developers and integrate with internal and third-party APIs, including LLM services.
- Ensure apps are responsive, accessible, and pleasant to use.
- Contribute to UX improvements — especially around writing workflows and rich interactions.
- Build fast and clean. You leave behind code and systems that other humans can understand and maintain.
What We’re Looking For
The Essentials
- Strong React capability (not just “I’ve let AI build React”). You can build clean components, manage state sensibly, and ship reliably.
- JavaScript + TypeScript confidence.
- Angular familiarity (we have existing code that needs maintenance and integration).
- Comfortable integrating APIs and working with backend developers (and/or writing backend code when needed).
- You can go from idea → shipped feature with minimal hand-holding, and you communicate clearly while doing it.
- Solid UI/UX instincts and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely, managing your own tasks, and hitting deadlines.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- You’re genuinely comfortable working with agentic systems: orchestrating tools/agents, shaping prompts, creating structured outputs, and iterating with evals.
- You don’t “just prompt.” You design AI interactions that are testable, versionable, and reliable, and you iterate using evals not vibes.
- You treat AI as an accelerator, not a crutch: when it fails (or politely stops being helpful), you step in and deliver code you’d happily maintain.
Bonus Points
- Experience with rich-text editors (e.g., Lexical).
- Backend/API integration experience.
- Interest in EdTech, writing tools, or learning science.
Early in your career? Perfect.
We especially encourage applications from top-tier graduates / early-career developers who can prove their ability through real work, not just university course work. When you apply, please include:
- Links to projects (GitHub, apps, prototypes, anything real)
- AI-driven systems or workflows you’ve built (agents, tools, eval setups, etc.)
- Anything you’ve created outside of uni... especially things no one asked you to build!
If you’ve ever thought “I wonder if I could build this…” and then actually did, we want to see it.
Why Join Us
- Work remotely with a small, sharp team building AI-assisted learning tools with real classroom impact.
- Own meaningful work - your decisions will ship and matter.
- Flexible, supportive environment with room to experiment (and the expectation you’ll ship).
- A chance to work at the cutting edge of agentic AI + product engineering, without building pointless demos.
