About the Role

About the Role

Rooster is a healthcare messaging system that routes critical test result alerts to the right clinician at the right time, based on staff schedules, specialties, and hospital-configured routing rules. It is live across 8 public health institutions. You would contribute to Rooster’s end-to-end experience, taking increasing ownership as yaou grow. The design work spans how clinicians receive and respond to alerts, how hospitals configure routing rules and escalation logic, and how clinical coordinators monitor active alerts across their teams. You do not need healthcare experience, but you need genuine curiosity about how clinical workflows operate.

Responsibilities

Deliver strong craft within scoped problem areas.

THE ROLE

As a Junior Product Designer, you will support the design of user interfaces and digital experiences across our product portfolio. You will contribute to UI production, assist in maintaining our design system, and take on growing ownership of marketing content assets as your skills develop. This role is structured to give you hands-on experience across the full product design lifecycle — with mentorship, feedback, and a clear path to mid-level.

Product Design & UI/UX

•       Assist in designing wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity screens in Figma under the direction of a senior designer or product lead.

•       Contribute to and maintain the design system — creating, updating, and documenting reusable components and style tokens.

•       Support usability testing sessions and user research activities; synthesise feedback into actionable design improvements.

About the Role

This role sits across two HealthTech products. Referral Exchange digitises healthcare referrals across providers as part of the National Referrals Programme led by MOH. It guides staff through referral creation, handles routing and tracking across healthcare providers, and is expanding across existing healthcare IT systems. The Health Appointment System (HAS) is the national booking system for preventive care across 1000+ CHAS GP clinics, where citizens check eligibility, see subsidy costs upfront, and book vaccinations and screenings.

You would own both problem spaces end to end. The design work spans officer-facing tools where referral accuracy and information density are critical, citizen-facing flows where complex subsidy logic needs to feel simple, and the service design underneath both: understanding how services work across multiple providers before you design the interfaces that support them.

Responsibilities

Own complex problem spaces end to end.

You will lead the design of products that span multiple agencies, user types, and policy dependencies. This means understanding how services work before designing the interfaces that support them.

Create clarity from ambiguous, conflicting inputs.

Different stakeholders use different terminology and have different priorities. You will synthesise these into shared models that the team can design and build from.

Design for users working under operational pressure.

Many of our users are scanning dense case lists and dashboards to make quick decisions. You will need to balance information density with clarity.

Design citizen-facing experiences that simplify complex logic.

On HAS, eligibility rules and subsidy structures need to feel simple to the person booking an appointment, regardless of the complexity underneath.

Build relationships that make adoption possible.

Healthcare environments are cautious about new tools. You will invest in stakeholder trust early and consistently.

Prototype early and test often.

Get ideas in front of healthcare staff, GPs, service providers, and citizens quickly.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 6 years experience in designing in a product-focused setting.

• A portfolio demonstrating strong craft, clear design reasoning, and experience shipping complex products in multi-stakeholder environments.

You will lead user-centred design across the full product lifecycle. From generative research and concept validation through to delivery and post-launch iteration, while coaching client design teams to build lasting capability. Job description:

· Research and develop design concepts for industrial products based on market trends, user needs, and business requirements.

· Create sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models using design software (SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, KeyShot) or any 3D software capable of converting files into STL and STP formats.

· Develop product form, materials, and finishes while ensuring functionality and manufacturability.

Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to craft user experiences that balance innovation, feasibility, and impact. You'll draw on user insights, data, and market research to inform design decisions, while staying ahead of UX/UI trends and competitor strategies. Hands-on involvement in user research and testing across Southeast Asia will deepen your understanding of our users and ensure designs are validated and refined to deliver meaningful results.

You will report to the Senior Designer Manager and work full-time onsite at the Grab Singapore office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will distill broad, conceptual ideas into practical and engaging interfaces.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Minimum 4 years as a product designer
• Portfolio showcasing on-demand service industry experience (in English); online ordering and discovery, and online to offline service design experience
• Experience with web/mobile UX design and design systems.
• Working knowledge of mobile/web front-end development to understand constraints and opportunities.
• Experience creating prototypes and experience conducting guerilla testing, concept testing, and low-fidelity user tests to validate hypothesis and fact check assumptions
• Proficiency with design tools, e.g., Figma/Figjam, ProtoPie, AfterEffects or similar animation tools.
• Experience presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience in service design, user research, and translating findings into product features/improvements.
• The ability to leverage AI technology to boost productivity and elevate product experiences.
