Job Overview

As the core leader of the sea logistics product team, you will be fully responsible for the overall planning, development, operation and optimization of the forwarder’s sea freight product line. You will focus on market demand and profitability, build competitive sea freight products, drive sales penetration and business growth, and promote the continuous improvement of the company’s sea logistics business competitiveness and market influence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall strategy and product roadmap for the company’s sea logistics product line, including FCL , LCL, special containers (reefer, OOG, flat rack, etc.), multimodal transportation, and value-added services (door-to-door delivery, customs clearance, cargo insurance, etc.), to meet the needs of different customer segments and market development trends.
• Responsible for the service level of ocean product and partners. Cultivate and maintain relationships with carrier and agent partners, active management and quarterly meetings to ensure services alignment with customer expectations.

• Collaborate closely with the carrier procurement team to negotiate and lock in long-term contracts, space quotas and preferential rates with major shipping companies, optimize the cost base of products, and ensure the stability and competitiveness of shipping space, especially in peak seasons.
• Drive sales enablement: develop sales tools (rate sheets, product brochures, quotation templates, proposal frameworks, pitch decks), conduct regular product training for the sales team (product advantages, quoting rules, objection handling, customer demand matching), and provide professional support for key account pitches, tenders and RFQ responses to promote product adoption and sales volume growth.

We are looking for a talented PERFORMANCE TEST ENGINEER for our award-winning Information Risk Management products. You will be responsible for designing performance test architecture, test plans, executing performance tests and building performance benchmark for cloud and on-premises applications. Responsibilities

· Design performance test architecture, strategy and test plans for cloud and on-premises applications.

· Build performance test workload models that can simulate load scenarios.

· Build and maintain a scalable, portable and configurable test scripts.

· Execute load, stress, volume, endurance, spike, break point, and concurrent testing.

· Execute performance compatibility testing on various cloud and on-premise platforms.

· Analyze performance matrices such as response time, throughput, resource utilization and error rates.

· Compare system performance with varying levels of physical resources (Memory, CPU, Disk, Network, etc.).

· Build performance benchmark for component and application levels of systems.

· Deliver various end-user performance test reports.

· Collaborate with Engineering team to develop system capacity planning guidelines based on the performance data.

· Conduct performance profiling across the entire software stack to identify performance bottlenecks.

· Collaborate with Engineering team to address identified issues and optimize performance of the products.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience (min. 5 years) in performance testing or engineering of enterprise software applications.

• Strong understanding of system architecture, including databases, networks, servers and cloud infrastructure.

• Good understanding of the software stack from the application down to the OS and CPU levels.

• Ability to assess performance testing requirements and prerequisites.

• Experience designing test plans that accurately simulate real-world usage patterns, including various types of performance testing such as load, stress, volume, endurance, spike, break point, and concurrent testing.

• Strong scripting abilities to build and automate performance tests.

• Experience in performance testing of web applications, APIs and database.

• Good understanding of industry-leading performance test tools such as JMeter and HP LoadRunner.

• Experience building performance benchmarks and workloads, performance analysis.

• Expertise in application performance monitoring and profiling tools to identify bottlenecks.

• Strong analytical skills to interpret test results, and suggest optimizations.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, tools and best practices in performance testing and engineering.

Objectives of the position:

Responsible for the management of product development projects for LAPP connectivity solutions with experience in cables and connectors for power, signal and data primarily for ASEAN, Australia/New Zealand, Taiwan and other APAC countries (no own development projects, but management / coordination and handling of traded goods). Person who understands the cable and connector designs and cable connectivity requirements. The person should also have experience with active components products for industry and building automation.

• Coordinate with APAC product development teams for appropriate allocation of product/projects and in alignment with product cluster management with respect to new product specification & designs for different product applications and requirements.
• Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective implementation of product/projects development in close collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
• Tap into external brains (scientific and industrial partners) via development of LAPP relationship with centers of excellence (ex. NYP in Singapore) and the organisation of idea generation events (e.g. Hackathons).
• Develop LAPP Exploration center / Demo kits in APAC in coordiation with product management and sales.
• Support the expansion of Lapp Singapore laboratory with the mission of testing supplier products (control & data cables) as part of global laboratory network.

Tasks in Detail:

Leadership & Organization:

• Technical guidance / support of the series development teams in APAC, including regular feedback and development discussions.
• Planning of resources and budgets for development projects.
• Continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Planning and management of development budgets with approval of CTO.

Product Development:

• Manage and execute development projects from concept to series production via stage gate process {for instance own the technical data sheet (TDS) and coordinate Initial sample inspection report (ISIR) for product release in collaboration with quality and product management}
• Ensure compliance with quality, cost, and timeline targets.
• Manage the product technical aspects/ product specification to fulfil the product requirements defined by product management to fulfil the customer needs and achieve the business’ short- and long-term goals.
• Responsible for technical data sheets(TDS) for customised products (SPP) to support procurement team.
• Responsible for technical coordination with product owner/product management, procurement and quality for adoption projects with supplier (APAC factories / vendors).
• Responsible for product development activities at CWI including each laboratory competency development and control of raw material for ISIR issued in coordination with quality.
• Focus to grow the products in collaboration with product management for key focus segments
• Work with global team on various technical topics as per organisational requirements

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Close cooperation with product management, procurement, production, and quality assurance.
• Coordination with internal and external suppliers and laboratories as well as national and international subsidiaries
• Contribute to global engineering team under global R&D on various technical topics

Strategy & Innovation:

• Contribution to the definition of product strategy and roadmap.
• Evaluation of new technologies and market trends relevant to series development.
• Representation of Lapp interests in standardization committees as well as development and implementation of new certifications and approvals
• Support in industrialization and market launch of new products.
• Acquisition of relevant intellectual property rights as well as monitoring and assessment of relevant patent specifications

Documentation & Reporting:

• Preparation of technical documentation and decision papers for standard and special products as per LAPP Corporate Directive
• Regular reporting to senior management.

Qualification

• Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or industrial engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in series development of technical products, ideally in the field of connectivity technology.
• Computer literate and knowledge of word, excel and powerpoint
• High affinity for solving technical problems using state-of-the-art simulation and calculation methods as well as a wide variety of measurement techniques
• Indepth knowledge of compitition landscape across industry in connectivity solutions.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in leading a technical product team
• Experience in carrying out complex technical projects in interdisciplinary teams
• Experience in cable testing and approval procedures
