About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer (Level 1 Support) to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This role supports the bank’s enterprise network infrastructure and ensures continuous connectivity for critical banking systems.

The position is shift-based (24x7 operations) and requires flexibility to work odd hours, nights, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating support schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 network monitoring and operational support for enterprise network systems
• Monitor network alerts and dashboards (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and perform initial triage
• Perform basic troubleshooting for: Network connectivity issues VPN access issues Switch / port / link failures
• Escalate incidents to Level 2/3 engineers or vendors based on severity
• Assist in incident logging, tracking, and updating tickets in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network incident handling

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and implementation of network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless solutions

·        Implement firewall rule changes to support migration activities and ongoing operations.
