Role Summary

The Junior HRBP partners closely with the Regional HRBP and business leaders to support people processes, talent, performance, workforce planning, and HR operations for designated client groups. In addition, ~20% of the role provides administrative and executive support to senior leaders (VP/GM level), ensuring smooth coordination, scheduling, and documentation.

This role is ideal for a high‑potential HR professional who wants to grow into a full HRBP while supporting senior leadership operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Business Partnering (60%)

• Act as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day HR queries for assigned client groups.
• Support cyclical HR processes including:
• Performance management
• Mid-year/year-end talent discussions
• Development planning
• Compensation cycle support (data consolidation, quality checks)
• Coordinate workforce planning activities, including role approvals and headcount governance.
• Partner with hiring managers on hiring needs, job briefs, interview coordination, and offer processes.
• Maintain HR dashboards and provide basic people analytics (attrition, HC report, time-to-fill, trends).
• Support employee onboarding, offboarding coordination, and probation tracking.
• Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives, events, and communications.
• Ensure HRIS data accuracy and support HR process audits.

2. Administrative & Executive Support (20%)
Provide proactive PA-level support to VP/GM including:

• Calendar management and scheduling of internal/external meetings.
• Preparation of meeting materials, decks, and summaries.
• Travel arrangements, claims submission, expense tracking.
• Coordination of leadership team meetings, agendas, and action trackers.
• Administrative support on cross-functional meetings, Townhalls, and staff events.

3. HR Operations & Compliance (20%)

• Ensure adherence to local labour laws and internal HR policies.
• Maintain accurate digital HR records.
• Prepare quarterly people operation reports and create simple dashboards.
• Support HR administration (letters preparation, contract issuance, Workday/HRIS updates).
• Assist in office administration such as maintaining pantry & stationary inventories

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2–3 years’ HR experience (generalist, HR operations, or junior HRBP exposure).
• Strong coordination, organisational, and administrative skills.
• Ability to support senior leaders with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable with spreadsheets and HR systems.

The Role:

Using your extensive network, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of effective and cost-efficient recruitment solutions to ensure that we continue to attract and build a network of talent for current and future opportunities, predominately within our technology teams. 

Whilst based from one of our office locations, there will be the opportunity to work from home, however there will be a requirement to travel to all Telefónica Tech offices as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for all roles in a cost-efficient way including the management of high volume / targeted recruitment campaigns;
• Work closely with HR and hiring managers on recruitment needs, hiring plans and demand planning;
• Manage all recruitment content including job adverts, job descriptions and all associated content contained within the careers pages of our intranet and website;
• Experience sourcing and hiring passive candidates through direct recruitment methods;
• Attract candidates through multiple platforms and channels such as LinkedIn and other job boards;
• Work in collaboration with HR and Marketing teams to promote employer brand through various social media channels;
• Promote recruitment bounty scheme to all employees in order to maximise our existing network of talent;
• Managing candidate experience by providing regular touch points from offer to first day;
• Work with recruitment admin team to ensure that all applicants are managed at all stages through the recruitment and selection process and are provided with meaningful feedback to ensure they receive a positive experience;
• Manage relationships with recruitment agencies on our PSL;
• Build relationships with schools, colleges and universities to nurture local talent and develop our STEM initiatives;
• Organise and represent Telefónica Tech UK&I at key university milkrounds and other careers events as well as managing all in-house recruitment open days and assessment centres.
• Weekly reporting on key recruitment activities, SLAs and KPIs.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role managing the recruitment lifecycle, gained within a technology/MSP environment either internally or agency side;
• Previous experience of managing high volume targeted recruitment campaigns;
• Competent in using applicant tracking systems, recruitment platforms and job boards;
• Experience of reporting on various recruitment KPIs;  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across different channels and build lasting relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates;
• Solid planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and work towards a deadline;
• People management experience is desirable;
• Proficient in the use of MS Packages including Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Proactive and flexible with a “can do” attitude;
• Team player - understands the importance of teamwork.
