The RPU Team owns the real-time compute fabric that sits between intelligence and motion. As a Senior RPU / Firmware Engineer, you will architect and implement the low-level software that drives Asimov's actuators, sensors, and onboard processors. This is a 0-to-1 role: there is no existing stack to inherit. You will make foundational architecture decisions, define the OS-level environment, and build from the ground up. You will work at the boundary of hardware and software, where microseconds matter and correctness is non-negotiable.

What You'll Do

• Architect and build the firmware stack for the humanoid robot from scratch, including OS selection, toolchain setup, and board support package development
• Design and implement firmware for real-time processing units across thehumanoid robot's hardware platform
• Build and maintain embedded Linux environments for onboard compute, including BSP bring-up, device tree configuration, kernel driver development, and userspace/kernel interfaces

Senior / Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description & Requirements

Design and develop series of marking/inspection/ sorting/customised semiconductor equipment to meet the processing and automation needs of customers. Main duties involve:

• Design standardization
• Costing and project management
• Machine and module conceptualization design
• Design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and Concurrent engineering
• Pneumatic / hydraulic circuit design
• Detail fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and layout drawings
• Selection and sizing of standard components available off the shelf
• Undertake new product development or be involved in sustaining engineering/CIPs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor/ Master of Mechanical Engineering
• 3D solid Modeling, preferably Pro-E (others like Solid Edge, Auto Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Solid Designer are also acceptable).
• Strong project management skills
• Good track record in:

1. Ultra High Precision machine design
2. High Speed Pick and Place mechanism design
3. Structural, kinematics and dynamic analysis and FEA simulation
4. Geometrical tolerance and dimensional analysis (e.g. stack up error)
5. Engineering material selection
6. Design troubleshooting
7. Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE

• 4-5 years of experience in machinery automation and motion control devices.
• Proficient in WinForms, C#, Windows Programming
• Must know PLC (Siemens/ Keyence/Beckhoff/Omron)
• Open to international travel of up to 20%
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to support regional clients

Responsibilities:

• Develop software for new automated equipment or enhance existing legacy applications.
• Troubleshoot any issues with systems that are installed.
• Work with clients to create software based on their specific requirements.
• Documentation for codes and programs developed.
