Full Stack Development:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Experience with Git and modern branching workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based development).
• Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (DRY, single responsibility principle, meaningful abstraction, testability) and the ability to enforce these standards within an AI-augmented development workflow.
• Strong code review instincts — can catch hallucinations, logic errors, and security issues in AI output
• Working in an agile release model, engineers must be adaptable and proactive to evolving requirements and user feedback.

Technologies:

• Next.js, TypeScript, React.js, UI component libraries (e.g., ShadCN, Tailwind CSS).

Security & Compliance:

• Experience with IM8 compliance and system commissioning for government projects
• Strong knowledge of frontend security (CSP, CORS, XSS prevention).

DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Proven experience setting up and managing Azure infrastructure (refer to Azure services listed in the Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure of Key Responsibilities).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Software Quality & Testing:

• Experience with unit and integration testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Pact).
• Backend testing using Postman, Supertest, contract testing.

Observability & Monitoring:

• Experience implementing application performance monitoring (APM) tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Knowledge of logging frameworks (ELK Stack, Loki, Fluentd) to track and debug issues across distributed systems.

Backend Scalability & API Design:

• Strong experience in API design principles
• Knowledge of API rate limiting, caching strategies (Redis, Varnish), and performance optimizations.
• Familiarity with backend service scalability strategies (horizontal scaling, autoscaling, load balancing).

Job Description

We are seeking a suitable BMS Electrical Engineer to support Building Management System / Building Automation System works for building services projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical coordination, installation supervision, testing and commissioning of BMS electrical and controls works, ensuring that project requirements, safety standards and quality expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of BMS electrical and controls works.
• Review project drawings, specifications, control schematics, points schedules and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, vendors and internal project teams.
• Support BMS system design coordination, including DDC panels, field devices, sensors, actuators, cabling and control interfaces.
• Coordinate BMS integration with ACMV, electrical, fire alarm, security, ELV and other building services systems.
• Supervise site installation works and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, material delivery and installation quality.
• Prepare and submit technical documents, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements and inspection requests.
• Support testing and commissioning activities, including point-to-point testing, functional testing, system integration testing and troubleshooting.
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical issues, site coordination problems and interface matters.
• Ensure proper documentation of testing records, inspection reports, as-built drawings and operation manuals.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, company procedures and project quality standards.
• Provide technical support to supervisors, technicians and subcontractors during project execution.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in BMS / BAS / controls systems or M&E building services projects.
• Good knowledge of BMS controls, DDC panels, field devices, control wiring, sensors, actuators and system integration.
• Familiar with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, KNX or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, points lists and technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of ACMV systems and their control requirements will be an advantage.
• Experience in commercial, infrastructure, industrial, healthcare or institutional building projects will be preferred.
• Able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work under project deadlines.
• Good problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
• Candidates with Singapore construction or M&E project experience will be preferred.

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and plastic parts design and associated production tooling and quality processes
• Understanding and use of engineering tools such as, statistical engineering techniques, design of experiments, product and process capability analysis
