Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining software systems that enhance production efficiency, automation, and data management across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications to support manufacturing and engineering processes
• Integrate software with production equipment, data acquisition systems, and ERP/MES platforms
• Develop user interfaces and automation scripts to improve workflow and traceability
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing software to ensure reliability and performance
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and IT teams to identify system requirements and improvement opportunities
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure software compliance with company standards and data security policies

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
• Proficient in programming languages such as C#, NodeRed, HTML, CSS, PHP, Labview, Python, or Java
• Experience with database management (SQL/MySQL) and API integration
• Knowledge of industrial systems, automation, or machine interfacing is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Roles And Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
• Design and develop automated solutions for existing machines, integration of new machines.
• Support Service and Project teams for issues related to automation of the existing and new installed base in Singapore and the region.
• Provide remote support to internal and external customers.
• Conduct site surveys/inspections and thus recommend upgrades and improvements in process.
• Identify areas for process improvement and optimization through automation.
• Monitor system performance, analyze data, and implement enhancements to maximize efficiency and reliability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in automation engineering.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate potential hazards associated with automated systems.
• Participate in audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Training and opportunities for continued development will be offered.

Skills/Experiences/Personal Strengths

• Proven experience in automation engineering, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems.
• Proficiency in Programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of control systems and industrial automation technologies.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools, frameworks, and platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Sound knowledge in Electrical and Instrumentation is preferred.
• Experience with site work and customer interaction is essential.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering field
• Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment
• Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning i4.0 technology
