Job Summary
An Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and maintains electrical systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. You will create technical drawings, test equipment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineering teams using expertise in power systems, automation, and CAD software.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems to meet safety and efficiency standards
- Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, ETAP) for project implementation
- Test electrical equipment and systems to verify performance and compliance with industry standards (NEC, IEEE, IEC)
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate electrical solutions into broader projects
- Apply analytical skills to evaluate system performance and optimize designs
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful completion
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in electrical design, power distribution, or control systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, ETAP) and simulation tools (MATLAB)
- Knowledge of industry standards including NEC, IEEE, and IEC
- Strong analytical and project management skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
