Job Summary:

Drive innovation insights and ecosystem partnerships to support strategic initiatives across Japan and the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on emerging trends and innovations across insurance, financial services, healthcare, aging, and childcare sectors in Singapore and APAC
• Analyze developments in AI, AI governance, FinTech, HealthTech, InsurTech, digital health, and data utilization
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and headquarters
• Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, insurers, startups, technology companies, venture capital firms, accelerators, universities, and government agencies
• Perform market scanning and networking within Singapore’s innovation ecosystem to identify collaboration opportunities
• Participate in conferences, seminars, and industry events locally and overseas to gather insights and expand networks
• Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including study visits and roundtable discussions
• Plan and promote Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives with startups and external partners
• Coordinate with headquarters, group companies, and stakeholders on project activities
• Support project management, including tracking progress, resolving issues, and reporting outcomes
• Translate market insights into actionable recommendations to support business development and strategic initiatives
• Prepare management reports and strategic materials and present updates to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in finance, FinTech, insurance, HealthTech, consulting, or innovation-related fields
• Business-level Japanese language proficiency (e.g., JLPT N1) is for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical, research, and reporting capabilities
• Proven project management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with Copilot tools
• Experience in financial institutions or FinTech companies in areas such as digital payments, cross-border remittance, digital assets, or related fields is an added advantage
• Experience in insurance or InsurTech projects involving digital transformation, AI utilization, or customer experience enhancement is an added advantage
• Experience in healthcare or HealthTech sectors, including medical data, wellness, or elderly care solutions, is an added advantage
• Experience in consulting, strategy, or digital transformation projects across financial, insurance, or healthcare sectors is an added advantage
• Experience in innovation ecosystems, venture capital, or corporate venture capital (CVC), including startup scouting and PoC initiatives, is an added advantage

This internship is designed as the first step in a structured professional development pathway that prepares graduates for future roles in learning support and special education.

What You Will Learn

As an Intern, you will work alongside experienced special educators and interventionist to develop practical skills in:

• Understanding child development
• Supporting children with diverse learning needs
• Behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
• Classroom observation and documentation
• Educational activities and intervention support
• Communication with families and professionals
• Professional practice within a special education environment

You will receive structured coaching, supervision, and hands-on learning opportunities throughout the internship.

Job Description

SHINE Industry Projects and Programme Support
•             Coordinate SHINE consortium activities and industry project administration.
•             Support coordination among researchers, industry partners, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to facilitate SHINE activities and industry collaborations.
•             Coordinate industry project activities, including tracking project progress, deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
•             Maintain project documentation, records, and administrative materials to support project execution and compliance requirements.
•             Support technical workshops, industry engagements, consortium activities, and collaborative initiatives involving SHINE researchers and industry partners.
•             Organise workshops, seminars, technical talks, industry visits, and stakeholder engagement activities.
•             Support development of postgraduate programme operations and related programme initiatives.
•             Liaise with researchers, industry partners, government agencies, students, and internal stakeholders to support programme objectives.
•             Provide administrative and operational support for SHINE initiatives and other ad-hoc programme activities as assigned.

Qualifications

•            Possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics), preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
•             Relevant experience in project coordination, industry collaborations, stakeholder engagement, programme administration, research administration, or related functions would be advantageous.
•             Experience coordinating projects, workshops, industry engagements, postgraduate programmes, internships, or multi-stakeholder initiatives would be advantageous.
•             Ability to engage effectively with researchers, students, industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
•             Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
•             Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
•             Experience in a university, research institute, government agency, corporate laboratory, or technology-related environment would be advantageous.
•             Familiarity with semiconductor technologies, advanced packaging, microelectronics, photonics, or related technology domains would be advantageous.
•             Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
•             Open to appointment on a fixed-term contract.
