Job description

Work directly with the technical director to develop electrical and electronic systems for inspection tools and other products

Design, build and test electrical, electronics, sensors and other systems for performance

Analyse designs and prototypes, to account for tolerance, precision, to meet specification requirements.

Work with other team members to integrate electronic designs onto practical systems with optical and mechanical systems.

Requirements

Master’s/PhD in electronic engineering or related disciplines with relevant experience in programming, EDA, FPGA, etc.

Ability to use commercial softwares to design and optimise electronic systems, ensuring that designs work according to specifications

Strong fundamental knowledge in electronics and relevant technologies such as optical sensors. Knowledge in other relevant disciplines such as physics, chemistry, material science etc. is a plus.

Capable and willing to design, build and test complex electronic setups from proof of concept to implementation on products.

Must have experience in setting up, troubleshooting and optimising electronic systems.

Must be an exceptional team player, willing to go the extra mile for high performing teams.

Must have adaptability to solve difficult problems with like minded team members.

Design, build and test computing systems for speed and performance

Derive computation methods with portable code for integration on complex systems, taking into consideration hardware used

Work with other team members to integrate computing systems onto practical systems with optical and mechanical systems.

Requirements

Degree/Master’s/PhD in computer science or related disciplines with relevant experience in programming, EDA, FPGA, etc.

Ability to code in C. Hardware optimisation for computations is a plus.

Ability to understand equations and solution methods to implement on complex systems

Understand how to apply AI and machine learning algorithms to practical problems

Project/ Tender Support

• Prepare and assist senior engineers in developing project plans, schedules, and documentation during project or tender phase, demonstrating understanding of project management methodologies.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
  Support site inspections and quality control checks.

Technical Assistance

• Understand client’s requirement and prepare engineering calculations and drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare and assist in the selection and specification of equipment and materials.\
• Research and analyse technical data.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure project compliance.
  
• Prepare and implement method of statement and processes for quality assurance.
  
• Coordinate and carry out testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems are operational and meet performance requirements.
• Prepare operational and maintenance manuals and as-built drawing for project handover.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
