Job Duties

Role overview
Tender QS prepare accurate cost information, develop tender documents, and support contractor selection. They produce cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and pretender budgets aligned with design and financial limits. They coordinate tender invitations, evaluate submissions for compliance and competitiveness, and participate in design discussions to highlight cost impacts. They also contribute to procurement strategy by analyzing market conditions, risks, and pricing trends.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate cost estimates for all project elements, including materials, labour, equipment, and risks.

2. Develop and compile tender documents, including Bills of Quantities (BoQ), specifications, and pricing schedules.

3. Prepare pretender estimates and ensure alignment with design and budget constraints.

4.Coordinate tender invitations and receipt of tenders with the employer or client.

5. Evaluate tender submissions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and competitiveness.

Job Description

• Manage and prepare the measurements and cost estimates for the construction projects from initial calculations to the final accounts.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
