Role Summary

• Recommend and implement improvements in process design, reporting, automation, and controls to strengthen operational maturity.

• Support internal and external audits by providing evidence, documentation, process records, and remediation tracking.

5) IT Asset Lifecycle Governance

• Provide governance oversight for IT asset lifecycle processes, including asset registration, tracking, reconciliation, and disposal.
• Support the maintenance of a centralized asset inventory repository as the single source of truth for customer IT assets.
• Monitor compliance with asset management procedures and identify discrepancies, duplicates, missing records, and control gaps.
• Define inventory ownership, verification requirements, and escalation paths to support governance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with asset management teams to ensure asset data integrity and alignment with governance standards.

6) Stakeholder Engagement and Enablement (10%)

• Work closely with System Managers, System Administrators, Helpdesk, Service Desk teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on governance processes and quality expectations.
• Facilitate communication between teams to improve workflow coordination, transparency, and accountability.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in IT governance, service assurance, quality management, operational compliance, or continuous improvement within IT infrastructure or managed services environments.

Our client is an established fintech headquartered in Singapore, operating across payments and foreign exchange with a footprint spanning Asia and beyond, including a significant client base in Greater China. As the business scales towards its next stage of growth, they are building out the senior layer of their reliability function.

They are hiring a newly created Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Quality Assurance) sits within the SRE team as a key technical hire and co-lead with the Head of SRE.

Job responsibilities

• Own production reliability across the FX and payments platforms - monitoring, observability, alerting, and the definition and tracking of SLIs and SLOs.
• Lead incident response end to end, including war rooms, post-mortems, root-cause analysis and the upkeep of operational runbooks.
• Strengthen quality assurance across the platform - improving test coverage, release sign-off standards, and modernising legacy test automation toward more automated and AI-assisted workflows.
• Support client API integration from sandbox to production, including liquidity provider onboarding and conformance testing.
• Act as the technical escalation bridge between clients, internal users and engineering, supporting China-based clients directly on production and integration issues.
• Lead business continuity and disaster recovery testing, including failover, recovery and audit evidence preparation.
• Contribute to DevOps and tooling improvements across reliability, testing and support.
• Coach and uplift a team of junior SRE and QA engineers, setting standards and mentoring on best practice as the function matures.

Job requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in site reliability, production support, platform engineering or technical operations, ideally within fintech, payments, FX, trading systems or another high-availability environment.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting across production systems, logs, APIs and application behaviour.
• Hands-on quality assurance exposure - test automation, release support or regression testing - as the role spans both reliability and quality.
• Working knowledge of API integration and comfort in client-facing or client-support situations; sandbox-to-production experience is an advantage.
• Solid fundamentals across cloud and containers (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring and observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, CloudWatch), and scripting (Python, Java, Bash).
• People management or team-lead experience is necessary.
• Sound grounding in incident management, RCA and BCP/DR practice.
• Professional spoken and written Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate directly with China-based clients and stakeholders, support production issues, and manage API integration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site quality and food safety strategy to ensure full compliance with FSSC/ISO 22000, MUIS Halal, SFA/export, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and coach QA/QC team and work closely with Production, Warehouse, R&D, and Finance to meet quality, safety, and operational goals.
• Own and continuously improve the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), including SOPs/work instructions, HACCP, hazard/risk assessments, validation, and verification.
• Ensure strong GMP, hygiene, allergen control, food defense, and food fraud implementation across operations.
• Lead internal and external audits (certification, customer, regulatory, Halal); act as main audit contact; ensure audit readiness and on-time closure of nonconformities (CAPA).
• Plan and conduct routine inspections and internal audits for Production areas, storage/warehouse, and external production-related areas (e.g., loading bays); identify gaps/risks and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee laboratory and monitoring programs (raw material, in-process, finished goods, environmental); review results/trends; manage OOS/abnormal results; coordinate with internal/external labs and optimize testing cost.
• Act as Food Safety Team Leader for incidents/deviations; lead investigations, decisions, and escalation; manage recall and mock recall exercises and maintain traceability readiness.
• Drive cost control and continuous improvement by monitoring quality costs (rework, waste, disposal, testing, manpower, packaging) and reducing defects, waste, and non-conformities without compromising compliance.
• Plan and deliver training for QA/QC and Production; build annual training plan; assess effectiveness; maintain training and competency records.
• Ensure strong documentation control, recordkeeping, and data integrity; provide quality KPIs and reporting in management reviews.
• Support trials, process changes, and new product development to ensure safe, compliant implementation.
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

• Certified FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 internal auditor.
• 5+ years QA/QC or Food Safety experience in food manufacturing with FSSC/ISO systems.
• Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, MUIS Halal.
• Hands-on experience in audits, inspections, compliance, incident/recall handling, and training.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; lab trend analysis/cost control is an advantage.
