Job Description

• Prepare and review Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) Works specifications.

What you will do:

The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for technical support – primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals. This position will require travel with the business development team to customer facilities during visits to discuss these future opportunities in depth.

Your experience includes:

• Master or Ph.D degree in Material science, magnetic recording physics or related engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge and skills in any of these areas – Material science, HAMR knowledge, thin film sputter process.
• R&D in magnetic recording media process, including process DOE, magnetic characterization tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be beneficial in this role.
• Proficient in English speaking and writing.

Desktop Support:

• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 10, 11, and Microsoft Office 365, Power App and any other authorised desktop applications

• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware and any other authorised peripheral equipment

• Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment

• Performs remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment

• Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards

• Performs work in compliance within specified warranty requirements

• Returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and restocks assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels

• Responsible for monitoring, operating, managing, troubleshooting and restoring to service any terminal service client, personal computers (PC) or notebooks that has authorized access to the network

• When the restoration is beyond the scope of the computers, laptops, printers and any other authorised peripheral equipment the Desktop Support Administrator will escalate the issue/problem to proper tier 3 support team member

• Develop trends by monitoring and analysing incoming calls, problems and support requests

Operational:

• Dealing with hardware and application support queries and issues reported to the support desk and escalated to the Desktop Support Administrator

• Provide user data and application recovery

• Use tools and methodologies to load, copy and customize operating system configurations for deployment

• Responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory

• Familiarize end users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation

• Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment

• Escalate issues and involve experts wherever required in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible

• Works with other IT team members regarding new branch builds and upgrades

• Dealing with queries by following departmental procedures for fault resolution

• Operates within, enforces, and suggests modifications and additions to desktop standards and guidelines

• Arranges for and/or prepares equipment for shipping/receiving

Media Services AV:

• Guarantee the support, management, integrity and quality of the Video and Audio Conferencing infrastructure

• Responsible for proactive monitoring and control of the Video Conference environment, and Incident Management of any issues

• Asset Management of Media Services equipment

• Direct Escalation of issues related to CISCO and Tandberg Infrastructure in the Media Services Estate to CISCO online portal

• Provide in-room white glove services to VIP clients and on standby support to VVIP clients

• Support clients via Remote Video Concierge Support

Experience/Knowledge & Skills:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and standardization of electrical infrastructure for next-generation data centres. You will own the development of Reference Designs for hyperscale and retail product tracks, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and compliance with global standards.

This role is pivotal in shaping advanced electrical infrastructure solutions that enable hyperscale growth, high-density and liquid-cooled deployments, and future-ready data center designs—while ensuring uncompromising reliability, efficiency, and sustainability, and leading continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with Operations and Construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical Reference Designs for hyperscale and retail data center product offerings.
• Design resilient, scalable electrical distribution systems and substation solutions for high-density environments.
• Ensure compliance with regional electrical codes and internal standards.
• Conduct engineering analysis, feasibility studies, and value engineering for cost and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with Design Delivery & Construction teams to localize designs and ensure constructability.
• Partner with Operations to identify improvement opportunities and implement design enhancements for reliability and maintainability.
• Review and approve critical equipment submittals, including vendor FATs and acceptance tests.
• Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to specify and qualify electrical equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for electrical system issues.
• Drive innovation and R&D for emerging technologies (e.g., liquid cooling integration, advanced monitoring).
• Produce clear technical documentation: design specifications, schematics, and white papers.
• Lead technical forums and provide subject matter expertise across regions.
• Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization

Thesuccessful candidate:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

·      10+ years of experience in heavy industrial or commercial electrical design, including 5+ years in mission-critical facilities

·      Strong understanding of regional electrical codes (IEC, NEC, CCC, etc.)

·      In-depth knowledge of critical data center electrical systems, including:

-       Medium-voltage distribution systems.

-       UPS systems, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, PDUs, VFDs, and ATS/STS.

-       High voltage substations

·      Experience with controls systems and integration

·      Proven ability to research and implement new designs and technologies from concept through deployment

·      Experience managing supplier relationships and conducting factory acceptance tests

·      Proficiency with modelling software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM)
