Responsibilities:

• Lead the procurement organization for Singapore and Malaysia operations, providing coaching, direction, and escalation support to ensure effective execution and team development.
• Drive procurement KPI performance, including on-time delivery (OTD), delinquency, push/pull/cancel actions, late release, and purchase price variance (PPV), aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver competitive advantage, including supplier selection, development, consolidation, and implementation of strategic supplier initiatives.
• Lead Global Purchase Family or Regional Commodity sourcing activities, with full accountability for sourcing decisions, material deflation targets, and alignment with global and regional strategies.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure performance expectations are met across cost, quality, delivery, and risk; lead corrective action and supplier improvement initiatives as required.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve quality, fulfillment, productivity, and cost objectives while managing contractual and commercial risk.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, services, and supplies necessary to support manufacturing and operational requirements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards.
• Analyze market conditions, cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and pricing trends to inform sourcing decisions and negotiation strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations to support supplier qualification, NPI activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and review bid packages, and coach procurement team members on sourcing strategies, negotiations, and supplier engagement as needed.
• Support cross-functional and business initiatives as assigned, including special projects aligned with supply chain and operational excellence goals.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• Min 5 years of procurement /supply chain experience in engineer-to-order manufacturing, OEM or aerospace environment
• Experience managing ~USD100M in direct spend with a proven track record of ~5% cost savings.
• Managed 50–100 suppliers across multiple countries

Job Summary

• This role is responsible for analyzing system query data and reporting issues to a procurement manager, conducting research to assess business models in the marketplace and collaborating with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives.

• The role involves tracking procurement performance metrics and reporting results to help in optimizing the supply chain.

• The role conducts market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and best practices, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data from system queries to support a supply category, and reports any issues or problems to a procurement manager.

• Works with senior members of the strategic procurement team in an observer capacity to learn the use of function-specific tools and systems.

• Maintains accurate procurement records and documentation, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement activities.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

• Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
