We have an opening in our Research team for a Senior Associate or Vice President to conduct research into Vietnamese companies, sector coverage will be broad however primarily focus will include Consumer,Industrials and Financials sectors. This position will be based in Singapore. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Report to the Lead Analyst 
• Perform thorough research on the assigned sectors, including sector analysis, investment recommendation
• Perform company, sector research, including commercial & financial analysis, and equity valuation
• Develop and maintain close relationship with foreign institutional clients
• Engage in public relation and marketing activity to promote the Jefferies’s brand image and reputation including presentation to clients in Vietnam and abroad

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Vietnamese language skills for partnership and analysis of local companies.
• Good understanding of Vietnam’s financial markets
• Strong finance and accounting background. Minimum 3-6 years of work experience in investment analysis. Candidates with working experience in an international and diverse environment preferrable.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, banking or economics. MBA or CFA is an asset.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to perform qualitative industry and business analysis
• Team player and able to work with other sector Researchers.

Job Responsibilities:

A1        Internal Audit

·         Plans and conducts financial, operational and compliance audit of the entities in the Group including overseas subsidiaries.  Audit process documentation, risk identification and assessment, evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and ensuring compliance with established Group policies and procedures

·         Interpret audit results, develop value adding recommendations to mitigate the risks and prepare audit working papers/reports

·         Make written recommendations to Management and business process owners to increase efficiency and /or effectiveness of the control systems of functions reviewed

·         Performed special investigations as requested by the Board or Audit Committee

A2        Analysis

·         To support, organise, consolidate and provide effective management reports to Management and Boards for purpose of reporting and decision making.

·         To support required analysis of performance of all business units, projects viability and put up relevant recommendation for purpose effective decision making.

B          Others

·         To undertake any other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

·         Meticulous and able to work with huge volume of data to compile into detailed reports accurately

·         Strong analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving and interpersonal skill with positive learning attitude

·         Independent, yet able to work in a team and handle stress to deliver under tight datelines

·         Proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint

·         Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations

·         Possess at least Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or equivalent with at least 2 year of audit working experience

·         Candidate with relevant qualification but no experience is welcome to apply. • Support daily portfolio and project office (PPO) governance
• Create and validate Project in SAP to support project execution, monitoring and billing.
• Provide user support and guidance on Project Charter, resource assignment and timesheet related queries.
• Conduct Roadshows and training on PPO templates and processes

Requirements / Qualifications
