The IT Engineer will serve as a trusted IT liaison supporting infrastructure initiatives, coordinating IT projects, and ensuring alignment with corporate IT policies, security standards, and operational requirements. This role acts as the bridge between business users and IT teams to drive effective communication, project execution, and service delivery.

Responsibitlities:

• Partner closely with stakeholders to understand and support their operational and strategic IT infrastructure needs.
• Coordinate and manage infrastructure-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with corporate IT standards and policies.
• Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, IT infrastructure teams, vendors, and service providers.
• Facilitate regular engagement sessions with stakeholders to communicate IT initiatives, security updates, policy changes, and gather feedback.
• Coordinate infrastructure setup and implementation activities including Virtual Machines, storage systems, network connectivity, and enterprise platforms.
• Monitor and follow up on IT service desk tickets, escalations, and infrastructure-related incidents to ensure timely resolution.
• Support IT budget tracking, procurement coordination, and resource planning for infrastructure initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards such as IT Policies, and End-User Acceptable Use Policies.
• Assist in reviewing and improving operational processes related to infrastructure support, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate Proof-of-Concept (POC) activities with vendors and internal teams to evaluate emerging technologies and support digitalisation initiatives.
• Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to align infrastructure solutions with organisational and operational requirements.
• Drive cybersecurity awareness and promote adoption of new IT initiatives across stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience in IT infrastructure coordination, project coordination, IT operations, or stakeholder management.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts such as networking, virtual machines, data storage, and data centre operations.

Pre-requisition:

·      Diploma or Degreein Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or related fields.

·       1-3years relevant working experience

·       Knowledge of Servers, operating system concepts, storage and backup fundamentals, and virtualization would be an advantage.

·       Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts would be an advantage.

Job Description:

·      Assistin the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and supporting infrastructure.

·      Support daily infrastructure operations, monitoring, and health checks.

·      Perform basic troubleshooting for server, virtualization, operating system, storage, and backup-related issues.

·      Escalatecomplex incidents to senior engineers or vendors where required.

·      Assistin infrastructure deployment, migration, and upgrade activities.

·      Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

·      Maintain accurate documentation including system diagrams, configurations, SOPs, asset inventory, and operational procedures.

·      Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers during troubleshooting and implementation activities.

·      Support system testing activities such as SAT, UAT, backup recovery testing, and failover testing where required.

·      Ensure compliance with security policies, operational procedures, and change management processes.

·      Participate in standby support rotation and after-office-hours support activities when required.

·      Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure operations and monitoring.
