CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

Job Description & Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. To carry out all responsibilities of a Site Supervisor in a Construction site.

2. Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors.

3. To oversee daily operation at site. Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.

4. Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme.

5. Schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials on a weekly basis. Ensure all work is completed to programme.

6. To ensure that workers comply with all safety measures required. Require to carry out the effective implementation of work safety programme.

7. Report and assist Project Director and relevant Personnel. Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Co-Ordinator when required.

8. Liaise with sub-contractors Manager/Project Manager, Site Manager/Agent, and Contract Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions.

9. Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders.

10. Responsible for the upkeep of documentation on project matters Assist to ferry workers to respective sites.

Requirements:

· Related Construction Supervisor Experience more than 10 years.

· Right attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills.

· Team player and result-oriented.

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage few teams of supervisor for daily work activities.

· Liaise with Client, Internal staff and Sub-con on daily activities.

· Manage work progress of the work activities.

· Prepare site team with necessary tools, Equipment, PPE and procurement of them.

· Preparation of monthly laterals logging update and claims documents to QS for submission to client.

· Report and discuss to Project Manager on site issue and propose suggestion to mitigate and improvement if any.

Job Requirements:

· Diploma in Management or its equivalent.

· At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Multi-tasking team player with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

· Preferred Chinese speaking for our China customers.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Coordination

· Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

· Identify design conflicts and liaise with consultants and contractors for resolution.

Project Support

· Monitor progress of architectural works on-site and report deviations.

· Assist in preparing method statements, technical reports, and schedules.

· Support site inspections and quality control activities.

Documentation & Records

· Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and approvals.

· Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and handover documentation.

· Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Team Collaboration

· Coordinate with MEP, structural, and other disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience

· 2–5 years of experience in construction projects.

You will assist the Manager, Quantity Surveying in the pre-contract or post-contract and procurement administration.

In addition, you will also be involved in budgeting, controlling of cash flow and cost.

processing of claims, contract payments and settlement of final accounts.

Verify completeness of tender documents and update amendments and corrigenda.

Identify discrepancies in tender documents and raise queries to resolve issues promptly.

Perform precise measurements and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities to support accurate cost estimation.

Coordinate the calling of quotations, pricing, and compilation of Pre-Qualification Memoranda (PQM) and post-tender questionnaires to facilitate informed tender submissions.

Develop and maintain project budgets and cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and control.

Solicit subcontractor quotations, prepare cost comparison reports, negotiate terms, and recommend awards to optimize project costs.

Draft and manage subcontract agreements to formalize contractual obligations.

Liaise with consultants and clients to review monthly progress claims and monitor payments against cash flow projections to ensure financial alignment.

Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify payments to maintain accurate financial records.

Track and submit variation orders, collaborating with consultants for assessment to manage project changes effectively.

Negotiate with consultants and clients to finalize accounts, ensuring accurate and timely project closure.

Execute any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Contract Manager and management to support project and organizational objectives.

The Requirements

• Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.

• Must minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or contract management in Singapore.

• Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Have good knowledge of the market updates and construction cost trend.
