Role Summary:
The Material Controller is responsible for coordinating materials for planned and unplanned outages, inventory tracking of parts, logistics coordination, warehouse space allocation, and shipping.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with stakeholders on material control responsibilities during planning and execution of power plant maintenance
- Coordinate with counterparts to obtain shipping documents
- Establish and maintain systems to manage inventory parts, spares, and consumables
- Coordinate with customer on space allocation for materials in the customer warehouse and in the required laydown and staging areas
- Supervise contractor manpower that will be engaged to support material control responsibilities as required
- Stock-take the consumables and miscellaneous hardware, and produce accurate reports for their consumption and stock levels
- Set up and equip temporary site offices for the outage team during outage works at power plant sites
- Handle onsite administrative arrangements for the onsite outage team, such as site induction courses, transportation, meals, IT equipment, and other outage amenities
- Stays abreast with customer needs, and support the team in delivering good customer service and maintaining good working relationship with the customers
- Frequent travel to client sites (Singapore based) such as Jurong Island
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience power or oil and gas industry will be advantageous
