We are now seeking a Strategic Account Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding Japan’s out-of-home delivery ecosystem. This is a high-impact, senior role for a commercially astute leader who thrives on partnership, innovation, and long-term value creation.

As Strategic Account Manager, you will work closely with strategic partners across e-commerce, logistics, retail, and adjacent industries, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in smart locker and out-of-home delivery solutions.

From identifying latent customer needs to shaping and executing complex commercial initiatives, you will lead business development efforts that improve consumer lifestyles while delivering sustainable growth for Packcity Japan. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders—both internally and externally—to take projects from concept through to successful execution.

Managing Director / Representative Director – Japan

Location: Tokyo

1. Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Managing Director (Representative Director / President) to lead and further develop our Japanese subsidiary.

The Managing Director will have full responsibility for business performance, profitability, and organizational leadership in Japan. This is a senior executive role with a strong expectation of hands-on commercial leadership, combined with solid governance, people leadership, and long-term market development.

Japan is a strategically important market, requiring a leader with deep local business understanding, credibility, and the ability to balance global alignment with local execution.

2. Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to:

• Deliver sustainable and profitable growth in Japan
• Strengthen market position and key customer relationships
• Build a high-performing, stable local organization
• Ensure full compliance with Japanese corporate governance and Group standards

The role requires a leader who is visible in the market, trusted internally, and effective in both Japanese and international business environments.

3. Key Responsibilities

Business & Financial Leadership

• Full P&L responsibility for the Japanese subsidiary
• Ownership of budget, forecast, cash flow, and profitability
• Execution of local business strategy aligned with Group objectives

Commercial & Sales Leadership

• Personally own and develop strategic customer relationships
• Lead and support major negotiations and key deals at executive level
• Act as a role model for professional, value-based sales

Organizational & People Leadership

• Direct leadership responsibility for Sales Managers and Service Manager
• Develop leadership capability, accountability, and performance culture
• Ensure long-term organizational stability and succession readiness

Governance & Representation

• Act as Representative Director / President under Japanese corporate law
• Ensure compliance with local legal, regulatory, and governance requirements
• Serve as the primary interface with Group management and Board

4. Candidate Profile

Experience

• Senior leadership experience as Managing Director, Country Manager, or equivalent
• Proven track record of driving growth and profitability
• Strong experience with full P&L accountability

Japan Market Expertise

• Substantial experience doing business in Japan
• Deep understanding of Japanese business culture, decision-making, and relationship management
• Existing executive-level network in the Tokyo area is highly desirable

Leadership Style

• Commercially driven, yet relationship-oriented
• Comfortable combining strategic direction with operational involvement
• Credible, calm, and trusted leader in a Japanese context

Language Skills

• Fluent English required
• Japanese language capability (business level) strongly preferred or required, depending on candidate background

SQA Engineer - Mail Division

GENERAL MISSIONS:

• Lead a global Supplier Quality Assurance approach, based on the PDQP requirements, from the development stage to the serial life, and during the resourcing programs.
• Manage the quality control (quality performance evaluation, actions plan, audit) of the tier 2 vendors in Asia.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES

1. Management of our Tier 2 suppliers in Asia.

• Definition of some preventive actions plan with our tier 2 suppliers (audits, IQC jigs management, process optimization…).
• Management of the parts quality KPI with our OEM partners. Improve the tier 2 suppliers follow up by our OEM partners.
• Ease the communication between our tier 2 suppliers and our OEM partners (or Quadient factories) in terms of parts quality follow up and quality issues.
• Ensure the coherency of the IQC/OQC procedures between our tier 2 suppliers and our OEM partners.
• Management with our OEM partners and tier 2 suppliers of the Standard Norms compliancy (UL, Reach, RoHS…).
• Management of the toolings booklets.
• Take part in the evaluation and validation of new suppliers (new technologies, new suppliers for the Cost Reduction program…) or new OEM partners in Asia.

1. Parts industrialization and validation.

• Take part in the technical discussions with the project team.
• Define parts validation strategy with the project SQA engineer.
• Follow up the definition and the fabrication of the IQC jigs with the vendors.
• Handle the parts submission with the tooling engineer and the vendors.
• Gather all the quality documentations (Control report, certificate…) at vendor side for the parts validation process.
• Manage the double check at OEM side or tier 2 vendor side if required.
• Release the final PVR (Parts Validation Report) to the vendors.

1. Other:

• Adhere to and promote to our panel of vendors the company Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility policies.
• Adhere to the processes of the Quality System.
• Comply with and promote the Health and Safety policy and processes.

Commodity Buyer - Mail Division

GENERAL MISSIONS:

The Commodity Buyer is responsible for managing relationships with suppliers from the project phases to the end of life for assigned commodities. This includes ensuring supplier performance meets company objectives in quality, cost, logistics, service, environmental compliance and CSR.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES

Strategic & Project-Level Responsibilities

• Participate in defining the Purchasing Strategy and supplier roadmap for relevant commodities.
• Implement the Purchasing Strategy in collaboration with Project and OEM Buyers.
• Maintain and update the Purchasing Plan for each project and commodity.

Supplier Evaluation & Selection

• Evaluate potential suppliers with support from Quality, Logistics, Process Engineering, and other functions, including QHSE and CSR aspects.
• Select suppliers based on Quality, Cost, Logistics, Services, and compliance with environmental and safety rules.

Quotation, Negotiation & Contracting

• Prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQs) for parts and tooling investments.
• Participate in technical discussions with suppliers.
• Define terms and conditions for purchased parts and record them in ERP and PDM systems.
• Resolve pricing issues and negotiate cost improvements.

Prototype & Development Support

• Manage RFQs and procurement of prototype parts.
• Monitor supplier development progress including part design, tooling, and sample timelines.
• Ensure cost, quality, and schedule targets during development phases.

Supplier Performance Management

• Follow up supplier performance during serial production and react quickly to deviations.
• Support Quality and Logistics teams with escalations.
• Lead the cost portion of supplier performance reviews.
• Conduct business reviews with suppliers to ensure strategic alignment.

Change & Process Management

• Represent Purchasing in the ECR/ECO process and manage change orders.

Compliance & Corporate Responsibilities

• Promote and adhere to Environmental and CSR policies.
