The BMS Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure efficient operation of building services such as HVAC, lighting, and energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, wire, and terminate BMS field devices (sensors, controllers, panels, etc.)
Perform testing and commissioning of BMS systems, including point-to-point checks
Assist in system integration works with HVAC, ACMV, electrical, and fire alarm systems
Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of BMS systems
Diagnose faults and rectify system issues in a timely manner
Monitor system performance and report abnormalities
Attend site coordination meetings with engineers, contractors, and clients
Ensure all works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, and safety standards
Prepare service reports, testing records, and documentation
Support upgrading and retrofitting of existing BMS systems
Requirements:
NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in BMS / ACMV / M&E works
Basic knowledge of BMS systems (e.g., HVAC control, PLC, SCADA)
Familiar with wiring diagrams and control schematics
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and site work
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to work overtime or night shifts when required
Preferred Skills:
Experience with systems such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.
Knowledge of BACnet / Modbus communication protocols
Basic IT/networking knowledge for system integration
