About the opportunity 

The Transformation team provides capabilities in strategic planning and delivery, program and project management, process improvement and change delivery, where a cross-portfolio approach or additional focus, investment or expertise is valuable to address the University’s transformational or strategic opportunities and challenges. 

This position is accountable for analysis of business processes, services, governance, data and information, with a view to understanding experience and identifying pain points, risks and improvement opportunities. The occupant will support the engagement of stakeholders at various levels of the University to analyse current state, support requirements gathering, and support the development of strategies and plans to deliver improvements or transform ways of working. 

Key responsibilities  

• Analyse and document business requirements and processes to support improvements across systems, information management, policies and organisational change.  

• Assess, design and improve business processes in partnership with subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.  

• Lead requirements scoping, definition and prioritisation activities within projects, facilitating stakeholder input and consensus.  

• Conduct user experience analysis to define user needs, behaviours and performance requirements across processes, services and systems.  

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to resolve competing requirements and deliver effective, user centred solutions.  

• Build strong stakeholder relationships to support collaboration, information sharing and effective issue management. 

About you 

• The occupant of this position will hold a relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in Business Analysis 

• Experience with Nintex Process Manager or an equivalent tools would be advantageous; strong capability in process mapping and improvement capability will be highly regarded.

Salary Range 
 
HEW 8 Salary – Base $113,713.03 - $127,923.91 + 17% super. Full package range - $133,044.25 - $149,670.98. 

As a member of the Student Disability and Accessibility Team, looking primarily after Auslan Interpreting bookings for students at Griffith and other institutions as well as more indepth support for Griffith students you will:

• Facilitate the inclusion of Deaf students in their programs and the broader University community by negotiating reasonable adjustments and coordinating the provision of support services to these students across all Griffith campuses including students studying through Griffith’s Digital Campus. 
• Coordinate the Educational Auslan Interpreter booking arrangements for internal and external students and clients, from receipt of booking through to follow up of accounts being paid. This can be across 5 campuses, 4 different institutions and their varying campuses, approximately 20 deaf students and 40 Auslan Interpreters.
• Some service delivery and movement between campuses may be required.

About you

It is essential you can demonstrate that you have substantial experience in working with Deaf students and staff, have exceptional Auslan skills and administration skills.

In addition, to be successful in this position and to enjoy the rewarding nature of the role, it is important you have highly developed skills in the following areas:

• Lived experience, or high level Auslan and experience interacting with Deaf Community.
• Communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of self-assurance. You will need to clearly articulate your ideas and instructions and enjoy working with on-going situations.

• Emotional Intelligence using empathy to understand and relate to students' emotions and challenges whilst maintaining professional boundaries and providing support.

• Proven ability to manage Auslan interpreter bookings, changes, and calendars for multiple stakeholders.
• Skilled in maintaining accurate administrative systems, including purchase orders/Invoices, budget tracking, expense registers, and electronic student records.
• Confident using databases and digital filing systems, with high attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
• Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking enabling you to analyse situations and develop effective solutions, whilst adapting and adjusting to changing circumstances and processes.

This is a full-time fixed-term (12 months) position (with possibility of ongoing) and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Salary Range
The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 7 range $101,068 - $109,496 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $118,249 - $128,110 per annum.

About the role

As a Data Insights Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling evidence‑based decision‑making across the University through high‑quality reporting, analytics and predictive insights. Working within a collaborative analytics team in Finance, you will partner closely with executive and senior leaders to understand business problems, shape analytical approaches and deliver insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.

The role focuses on delivering impactful business intelligence using tools such as Tableau and Power BI, alongside advanced analytics and predictive modelling using R or similar tools. You will translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for non‑technical audiences and act as a trusted advisor on data interpretation, availability and appropriate use.

You will work in agile, project‑based ways to implement analytics solutions that guide business decisions, collaborating closely with the Data Warehouse and Digital Solutions teams to define data requirements and ensure data is fit‑for‑purpose. The role offers a high level of autonomy and problem‑solving, with opportunities to innovate through automation and the practical application of AI to improve analytics capability and ways of working.

About you 

• You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in a quantitative, analytical or related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
• You will bring strong analytical capability, with experience delivering insights through business intelligence and analytics platforms such as Tableau and Power BI, and applying advanced analytics, statistical techniques or predictive modelling using R or similar tools.
• You will have a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights that support executive decision‑making, along with highly developed problem‑solving skills and the ability to work confidently with ambiguity.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and advisory skills are essential, as is a high level of self‑direction, accountability and initiative.
• An interest in innovation, automation and AI‑enabled analytics will be highly regarded.
