Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced [ 8+ years ] and highly motivated Assistant vice president [ AVP ] to join our Production/Application support team in a dynamic Fintech/Liquidity reporting environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong technical skills [ Unix, SQL, Big Data technologies] and deep domain expertise in financial services

[ e.g: Securities, secured financing, rates, Liquidity reporting, Derivatives, front office/back-office system, trading lifecycle ]

This role requires someone who thrives in a high-pressure environment, can troubleshoot complex production issues, understands the full trade lifecycle, and can bridge the gap between critical business users and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 production support for mission critical liquidity reporting and financial applications, ensuring high availability and performance.

• Monitor and resolve incidents related to trade capture, batch failures, position keeping, market data, pricing, risk and liquidity reporting.

• Engage with operations, traders, quants, development teams to understand and resolve production outages/issues.

• Proactively manage alerts, logs and jobs using Autosys, Unix tools, and monitoring platforms [ ITRS/AWP ].

• Execute advance SQL queries and scripts for data analysis, validation, and issue resolution.

• Support multiple applications build on stored proc, SSIS, SSRS, Big data ecosystems [ hive, spark, Hadoop] and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.

• Maintain and improve knowledge bases, SOPs, and runbooks for production support.

• Participate in change management and release activities, including deployment validations.

• Lead root cause analysis [ RCA] , conduct post incident reviews, and drive permanent resolutions.

• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on capacity, performance, and system resilience initiatives.

• Contribute to continuous service improvement, stability management and automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ Years of experience in application or production support with 2+ years at a lead level.

• Strong hands-on experience with.

• Unix/Linus [ scripting, file manipulation, job control]

• SQL [ MSSQL/Oracle or similar, Stored proc, SSIS, SSRS ]

• Big Data technologies [ Hadoop, Hive, Spark ]

• Job Schedulers like Autosys.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas

• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users

The Team:

The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is responsible for looking after the cyber security of all of Citi’s technical assets. The job:

This role sits within the Cloud Security team which is responsible for Private and Public Cloud Security, Container Security as well as strategic Secrets products. As we look to expand our programme, we are creating a consolidated SRE team that will work across our portfolio of products.

As a member of the SRE team, you will be responsible for working towards our SRE strategy and operating model, as the team embarks on a multiyear transformation journey.

Engineering excellence and secure by design are important principles for our CISO organisation. You will raise the bar on both our existing products but also the frameworks and capabilities that are engineered within the SRE team.

Partnership and collaboration are key. You will work closely with the existing Engineering and Operations teams, building out the SRE capability alongside evangelising SRE best practice and techniques for the wider organisation. Reducing TOIL will be paramount to your success.

What the role covers:

• Working across Container products and Secrets products, across Public and Private Cloud, as well as Cloud native specific products
• Architecting and building tools and platforms that provide capabilities for SRE

Responsibilities:

• The Cash Equities Application Support Technical Lead Analyst is responsible to partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
