Position Overview

• Identify operational and system issues, assist in implementing process improvements, and support initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and effectiveness
• Coordinate with Airfreight Operations, Customs, and other departments to facilitate seamless execution of import shipments
• Supervise staff managing all stages of the import process from shipment receipt to delivery and billing, ensuring team performance and customer satisfaction

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with Cargo Wise system to support import workflow management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team and manage customer discussions and interactions

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead cross-border procurement, supplier relationship management, and marketing initiatives across China and South East Asia. The role will focus on conecting OEM suppliers in China with power plant operators and owners in the Philippines.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales and marketing acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-cultural business environments.

The candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree in business administration or management and have at least 5 years relevant experience.

1. Support the leadership of the Airfreight Import Customer Service team

2. Supervise and guide team members handling end-to-end import processes

3. Oversee daily import operations including documentation, coordination with carriers, customs compliance, billing, and job closure

4. Monitor service performance against SLAs and KPIs, escalating issues where necessary

5. Handle complex customer escalations and operational challenges

6. Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations and Customs to ensure smooth shipment execution

7. Support continuous process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Supervisory or senior-level experience in airfreight import customer service or operations

• Strong understanding of airfreight import workflows, documentation, and customs requirements

• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Hands-on experience with CargoWise system is preferred
