Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Quality) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspection standards, and documentation.
• Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions).

·         Lead and manage Motion Control, Electrical Hardware, and Electrical Design teams, providing both people and technical leadership.

·         Define overall technical direction for motion control systems and electrical hardware architecture for semiconductor equipment.

·         Guide motion control modelling, control algorithms, and system analysis for high-speed, high-precision applications.

·         Oversee electrical schematic design, power electronics, motor drivers, and control boards.

·         Support new product development from concept, design, prototype, Alpha/Beta testing through product release.

·         Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and schedule targets.

·         Establish and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices.

·         Review and approve key technical designs and resolve complex technical issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, or precision machinery industry.

• Strong knowledge in motion control modelling and algorithms for ultra-high speed and high accuracy applications.

• Solid experience in control system analysis and design, including servo motor and motion control systems.

• Strong background in digital electronics and power electronics design, including power supplies and motor drivers.

• Familiar with analytical and simulation tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD or equivalent.

• Knowledge of dynamic frequency response analysis (Bode plot, Nyquist plot).

• Familiar with electromagnetic technology for motor design.

• Experience with C/C++ programming for real-time control applications is an advantage.

• Basic understanding of mechanical system integration is a plus.

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer who is both technically proficient and commercially astute. You will be the key technical expert and primary point of contact for our clients, responsible for understanding their automation challenges and proposing optimal control system solutions from our portfolio. Your role is critical in bridging the gap between our advanced products and our customers' application needs, ensuring we deliver exceptional value and build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales:

· Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within Singapore.

· Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed sales targets.

· Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.

· Negotiate contracts and close sales, managing the entire sales cycle from lead to order.

· Conduct market research to identify trends and new potential applications for our products.

· Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and process challenges.

· Recommend and design appropriate control system architectures (e.g., PLC-based systems, HMI integration, network topologies).

· Provide pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and feasibility studies.

· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and project managers at existing and new client accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Application Engineer, or similar technical sales role, preferably within the industrial automation, control systems, or components distribution industry.

· Candidates with a strong technical background in control systems (e.g., as an Automation/Control Engineer) looking to move into a sales role are strongly encouraged to apply.

Technical Competencies & Skills

· Essential Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of control system components such as PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley), HMIs, SCADA, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and motion control.
