The Instrument Cluster & Infotainment Engineer will be responsible for testing, validating, and integrating instrument cluster (IC) and infotainment systems for commercial vehicles. The engineer will work closely with global teams to ensure specification compliance, feature robustness, diagnostics, communication network stability, and system integration.
This role requires strong hands on experience with CANoe, CAPL scripting, ETM (Engineering Test Mode), ECU Test, along with a deep understanding of CAN, LIN, diagnostics and HMI/UX behaviors.

• Create traceability to requirements, analysing gaps and addressing them.

• Log and track defects to closure.

• Conduct test reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, address test gaps to ensure test efficiency.

• Develop design documents and user manuals which would effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users who include testers and stakeholders.

• Implement and maintain automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks to integrate comprehensive testing (functional, performance, and basic security testing) throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to testing and deployment.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team.

• Certification in software testing preferred.

• Experience in Micropayments/Automatic Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) is an advantage.

• Experience in DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms with security plugin integration is an advantage.

• Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation is an advantage.

This position is expected to provide Test Operations and Engineering support for products post manufacturing release and deliver operational excellence through cost reductions, OEE, yield and cycle time improvements to achieve our test KPI goals with our Test Manufacturing Sites (Internal and Outsourcing Suppliers) in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and across Asia (Taiwan, China, Korea). This position reports into Operations Engineering Department (OED).

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for Test Operations interface to Renesas Product Groups and other functional teams (Supply Chain, Quality, Packaging, Foundry, PMO) across US, Japan, India, Malaysia, and China on all phases of product lifecycle
2. Execute daily test operations activities with internal factories and test OSATs to ensure customer delivery fulfillment (i.e. Lot tracking and dispositions, Test Program releases, Hardware Troubleshooting/Repairs, Equipment up-time, Tester Utilization OEE tracking, Continuous Improvement Process, etc)
3. Coordinate Probe/Final Test transfer from New Product Introduction to High Volume Manufacturing from Renesas Product Group groups
4. Execute new test capacity expansions (tester/ handler/ hardware) to ensure sufficient capacity and meet production demand
5. Deployment of new tester/handler technology and test solutions to test manufacturing sites from test development
6. Implement best known practices and process within test manufacturing sites
7. Drive Gross Margins (OEE, Yield, Retest) improvement initiatives
