Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant (Receiving) is responsible for the accurate receiving, checking, recording, and storage of incoming goods. This role ensures that all deliveries are handled efficiently, documented correctly, and stored in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Verification

• Receive incoming goods and deliveries from suppliers and transporters.
• Check quantity, quality, and condition of goods against delivery orders and invoices.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.

Documentation & Records

• Ensure all receiving documents are properly completed and filed.
• Update inventory records accurately in the system or manual logs.
• Maintain proper labelling and identification of received items.

Storage & Inventory Control

• Arrange received goods in designated storage locations.
• Follow FIFO, FEFO, or company stock rotation practices.
• Assist in stock counts, cycle counts, and annual stock take exercises.

Housekeeping & Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving and storage areas.
• Comply with workplace safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
• Handle goods safely to prevent damage or loss.

Support Duties

• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in warehouse, storekeeping, or receiving is preferred.
• Able to read and understand delivery documents/invoices.
• Basic inventory or stock handling knowledge.

Job Summary:
