Technical Support Engineer – Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in technical support, customer support, or a related technical role.
3. Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms, SaaS products, APIs, and database systems is preferred.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
7. Customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and service.
8. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and work under pressure.
9. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Customer Success.
10. Fluency in both English and Chinese is required.

Job Summary:

Experienced laser engineer to install, configure, and optimize depaneling systems, ensuring precision performance and supporting advanced customer applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and alignment of laser units on depaneling machines
• Configure machines based on internal specifications and customer requirements
• Conduct camera calibration, field calibration, and software debugging
• Perform health checks on incoming laser systems and coordinate defect resolution with vendors
• Maintain accurate records of installed laser components and optical parts
• Support laser processing experiments, including cutting trials and sample measurements
• Troubleshoot laser-related issues on deployed machines
• Deliver customer training, demonstrations, and operational guidance
• Collaborate with design teams and external vendors to develop customized solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation industry with hands-on experience operating machinery
• Strong knowledge of laser systems and machines
• Experience in optics and laser technology is an added advantage
• Possession of a valid laser license
• Ability to perform machine configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Willingness to travel overseas up to 5% when required
