Monitoring, Observability and CI/CD

• Build and maintain observability dashboards, monitoring, and alerting using: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Cisco DNA Center, Forescout
• Integrate infrastructure changes into CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, validation, and rollback capabilities.
• Utilize GitHub for version control, peer reviews, and change governance.
• Develop automation tools and integrations using REST APIs, Python, and Django.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience in Network Engineering, Cloud Networking, Network Security, NRE, or SRE roles.
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking, cloud networking, and network security.
• Strong hands-on experience with network automation using Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in large-scale production environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into measurable reliability objectives.

• Handle regular preventive maintenance on the SD-WAN Platform Operations. 
• Support the expansion, upgrades and rollouts of new network and systems infrastructure involving hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, virtual appliances, VNFs, network monitoring and management systems.
• Support engineering teams on new product/ feature implementation, node deployment, and technical support matters. 
• Responsible for troubleshooting and timely resolution of faults/issues within the SD-WAN platforms services. 
• Analyze SD-WAN platforms performance and take proactive actions and preventive measures to monitor and enhance the network performance including software and hardware upgrades, etc. 
• Prepare statistical reports on network and equipment performance.
• Analyzing financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
• Presenting annual budgets to management.
• Vendor negotiation and preparation of cost analysis and justifications.
• Perform SD-WAN platforms performance analysis.
• Proactively engage Engineering teams and recommend courses of actions to prevent incidents that may be caused by performance issues.
• Archive prepared reports for future reference of job performance.

Skills for Success:

• A bachelor’s degree Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems from a recognized institution. 
• 5 years minimum IP network experience with 3-5 years’ experience in SD-WAN systems
• Possess expertise with routers and switches installation e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Mellanox, Dell.
• Possess expertise with Cisco SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN, HPE Aruba SilverPeak SD-WAN, Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiSASE etc.
• Good understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS/VPN.
• Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and software upgrade    procedure.  Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in technical fault isolation and rectification
• Knowledge of hypervisors such as eSXI, Adva, proxmox and KVM.
• Possess basic knowledge of office applications skills e.g. Excel, Visio, Word. 
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.   Must be a team player.
• Self-starter and highly driven with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.  
• Excellent presentation skills and project/program management skills.
• Able to document and investigate existing infrastructure for the benefit of maintaining and operating the environment, discovering possible security breaches or vulnerabilities or finding opportunities for improvement for optimal network performance.
• Manage principal vendors, providers, internal and external stakeholders
• Write and implement policies, guidelines and SOPs for managing the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

•           Provide Level 2/3 IT network security operations support

•           Respond to incident calls and ensure the SLA to our clients is met

•           Perform changes to the network in-line with the organization’s ChangeManagement processes

•           Ensure compliance to policies, processes and standards, both internal andclients’ organization

•           Prepare network analysis reports, including findings with analysis

•           Participate in regular operations review meetings, including operationalissues, tickets review etc

•           Participate in projects/activities to support improvement initiatives

•           Conduct proper handover from the project team to operations after commissioningof projects.

•           Conduct internal training and/or knowledge transfer to team.

•           Update operations documentation (technical, CMDB, etc).

Requirements:

•           At least 5 years of experience providing network operational and administrationsupporting Cisco products (Routers / Switches/WLAN)

•           Diploma or Degree in Engineering, IT or its related field.

•           Minimum Cisco CCNP certification

•           In-depth knowledge of network routing and switching technologies and protocols

•           Knowledge of network security, load balancing and optimizationtechnologies 

•           Experience working with Cisco network, Bluecoat Proxy, F5 Load Balancer, PaloAlto/Checkpoint/Fortinet firewall and Splunk is preferred.

•           Ability to work in a multi-cultural team

•           Good communication skills both written and verbal.

About the Position

Fugro Satellite Positioning, Inc. has an immediate opening in the Singapore office for a Network Controller. This position is responsible for monitoring and proactively supporting the daily operation of our Fugro Data Network, including Network Control Center (NCC), Remote sites and Satellite uplink sites. This includes monitoring and QC of the data collection, distribution and broadcast processes with minimum downtime. Also assists with customer support outside of normal daily working hours. It is a unique position where the employee is trained on the job. The employee works on rotating shift.

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitoring operation of the NCC (remote site data collection, central computer operation, data distribution and uplinking) and responding to data alarm conditions.

• Able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment.

• Fault isolating and resolution using internal and external resources.

• Documenting all alarm conditions and actions.

• Performing data archiving and plotting tasks.

• Collating system performance statistics and assisting in the production of tables and graphs for reporting and system analyses.

• Providing assistance during additions or changes to either the NCC or remote site computer and data communications equipment.

• Assisting in the coordination of planned system outages with communications service providers and Fugro clients to minimize disruption to Fugro Satellite Positioning, Inc. services.

• Assisting, where appropriate, with the preparation of Fugro Data Network documentation and reports.

• Assisting in the maintenance and updating of NCC Operational Procedures.

• Proposing new methods of operations for the NCC to improve productivity.

• Provides customer support as appropriate.

• Promptly responding to telephone calls, faxes, emails and their redistribution as required.

• Observing NCC security and safety measures.

• Creating brief memos, emails and occasional drawings using established office software.
  

Knowledge/Skill/Qualifications:

• Diploma; College coursework in information technology required; degree in computer networking systems or computer science preferred.

• Computer networking with other computer systems

• Good computer literacy and competence in the use of common office software packages like Windows and Red Hat operating systems
