Job Summary 

We are looking for a Senior QC Equipment Qualification Specialist / Lead to manage qualification, lifecycle management, and decommissioning activities for Quality Control laboratory equipment within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. 

This role will take ownership of qualification strategy, project execution, documentation compliance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across laboratory equipment lifecycle activities. About the role:
SMITECH is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities for our projects in Singapore.

This role will work closely with the QAQC Manager, project team, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to ensure M&E works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, inspection requirements, method statements and quality procedures.

SMITECH is an established M&E contractor involved in mega national projects with a rapidly growing presence across Singapore. We are actively expanding our operations and are inviting experienced, driven M&E and Civil engineering personnel to join our ranks for new and existing projects.

Our client is a multinational company in the Contract Manufacturing industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Manufacturing Engineering Lead to join their Engineer team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the North – easily accessible.

The Manufacturing Engineering Lead's responsibles are:

• Provide technical leadership and support for molding, assembly, or automation processes, including troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Apply scientific molding and structured problem-solving methods to improve process stability, yield, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
• Manage process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ), tooling trials, and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) to ensure smooth implementation of product or process changes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE, optimize cycle time, and improve cost efficiency through lean and automation practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers on technical clarifications, process improvements, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR).

Requirement

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in Molding industry
• Diploma / Degree in Engineering field

Responsibilities

• Day to Day monitoring and ownership to timely address in-line SPC/defect/Equipment abnormality, handling and disposition

• Manage projects in productivity improvement, particularly for new processes, using process characteristic analytical tool to improve process condition and technology

• Establish process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment to ensure line stability

• Evaluation and development of new equipment/materials/process

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering , Electrical Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering and Physics

• Demonstrated experience of at least 5-7 years in semiconductor foundry dry etch module process

• 22/28 nanometer and below advance technology nodes experience is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of process development, optimization and troubleshooting.

• Proven leadership skills in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects related to process improvement or technology transfer

• Ability to analyze complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions

• Experience skills including SPC, 8D reporting, DOE, FMEA and PMO is preferred

• Able to commit shift work
