We currently have an opening for a Capacity Engineer (Data Center) role for our client in Singapore which is a leading global investment bank. The Data Centre Capacity Engineer is responsible for capacity planning and management across data centres and network equipment rooms.

This role ensures sufficient space, power, and cooling are available to support current operations and future growth, while maintaining resilience, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Planning & Management

• Plan and manage data centre and network room capacity covering space, power, and cooling.
• Develop short‑, medium‑, and long‑term capacity forecasts based on IT demand and growth projections.
• Support phased load planning (e.g. IT load ramp‑up by phase).

Infrastructure Assessment

• Evaluate electrical infrastructure including UPS, transformers, PDUs, generators, and redundancy (N, N+1).
• Assess cooling infrastructure such as CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, and cooling towers to support projected IT loads.
• Identify capacity constraints, single points of failure, and mitigation options.

Design & Setup

• Support data centre and network room design, layout, and rack planning.

Tools & Inventory

• Maintain accurate capacity data in DCIM and asset management tools (e.g. Nlyte, Remedy).

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: Spearhead and oversee the design of advanced thermal management systems, with a specialized focus on integrating liquid cooling architectures and high-density air-cooling solutions. You will develop standardized, modular mechanical blueprints that allow for concurrent maintainability, continuous cooling, and seamless capacity scaling without disrupting live operations. • Translate customer's engineering build instructions to Special Work Request
• Review and delegate external specifications from customers pertaining to each device/product to relevant team
• Coordinate with Design and Process Engineering Team on the action items to ensure product is within the site capability and manufacturing flow
• Publishes and reviews engineering reports, including all issues found and resolved during developments, as well as yield reports and analysis.
• Makes smart and sound decisions to support quick turn around on sample and engineering builds
• Maintains lifecycle/document management from Qualification to Production lifecycle phase thru eNPI system.
• Attends daily meeting to check NPI builds movement and issues encountered during processing and coordinate with Support Group for help needed on execution

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in WLCSP/Backend Process/Product/Package Engineering in Semiconductor industry or equivalent preferably from OSAT
• Strong project coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Develop MEP project plans aligned with overall goals and timelines.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones.
• Oversee MEP design development and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide expert guidance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ensure integration of MEP with CSA systems.
• Enforce quality assurance through audits and reviews.
• Manage design changes and assess project impacts.
• Identify and mitigate MEP-related risks.
• Act as main contact for MEP coordination and communication.
• Plan and implement commissioning for all MEP systems.
• Train client teams on MEP system operation and maintenance.

We are representing an MNC in precision cooling solutions to hire for Commissioning Engineers with experience in data center projects.

Role Overview

• Oversee and deliver commissioning activities across multiple project sites
• Manage the commissioning process end‑to‑end, from early design reviews through construction support, system testing, and final acceptance
• Verify that installed systems comply with project requirements, regulatory standards, and operational expectations
• Work closely with contractors, vendors, and specialist partners to address technical and site‑related challenges
• Support project completion activities and smooth transition into live operations
• Produce comprehensive commissioning documentation, test records, and handover reports

Background & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 3 years’ experience in commissioning, system verification, or technical design coordination
• Prior exposure to critical environments such as data centres, industrial facilities, or high‑availability infrastructure
• Solid understanding of HVAC, cooling systems, and mechanical services
• Experience working with precision cooling equipment (e.g. chillers, close‑control air‑conditioning units, or similar systems) will be advantageous
