As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide the desktop support for the first contact point for customers, you will be responsible to provide prompt assistance to customers, addressing a range of IT topics and issues. Besides, you will ensure that software, licenses and operations comply with standards and timely manner.

The broad area of your job responsibilities will cover thefollowing:

• Perform Desktop Support services to users which includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests and escalating incidents when necessary to maintain customer satisfaction and SLA expectations.
• Perform imaging/re-imaging
• Perform asset inventories
• Perform technical escalation to 3rd party vendor or resolver groups (where appropriate)
• Updates Incident records
• Creates and updates work instructions (where necessary)
• Document standards and procedures (where necessary)
• Any ad hoc task as assigned that is relevant to this role.

Ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Min. ITE/Diploma graduate with 1 year experience in desktop support
• Min. 1 year experience in Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365
• Possess at least one (1) of the following certifications or their equivalent: CompTIAA+;
• CompTIA Security+;
• CompTIA Network+;
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Client; and
• Microsoft Certified: Managing Modern Desktops.
• Previous IT helpdesk and/or call centre support experience, including providing remote support via the telephone or using remote tool will be added advantages
• Demonstrate knowledge in the support of workstations, and related components
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good coordination skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency
• Effectively communicates with teammates and manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the Service Desk and staffs to provide 1st level technical support.
• Act as a further escalation point for unresolved or escalated cases and provide guidance to the team.
• Take on a wider customer service role and promote the customer service ethic to maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
• Report to SD managers on any issue that could significantly impact the SLA and recommends action plan.
• Take overall responsibility for incident management and request fulfilment (if any).
• Ensure staffs take ownership of user’s incidents and be proactive when dealing with user’s incidents.
• Ensure all calls and emails are logged in the Service Desk logging system as per operating procedure.
• Allocate more complex calls and emails to the relevant IT Support member.
• Arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved within L1
• Manage Service Quality Assessment and Coach the agents on proper handling approaches.
• Provide Domain Briefing/ Training to new joiners.
• Able to front Service Desk to stakeholders for clarification and enquiries.

About you:

• Minimum Diploma in IT relevant discipline.
• Familiar with Service Desk day to day Operation. This requirement does not include those with Customer Service Experience in a non-technical call center environment.
• To have a minimum of 3-years end-user support experience, desktop, or technical service desk. About 2-years' experience in leading a Service Desk team of at least 15 agents.
• To have the in-depth technical skills to support existing and new computing devices like desktops, notebooks, tablet devices and smartphones with knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory Account Administration, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in Situational Management to provide Ad-hoc instructions to the team.
• Experience in Gap Analysis, Productivity, Call Statistic, and Incident Trending.
• Experience in managing Complaints, identify training needs and coaching SD agents.
• Experience in Service Level Agreement (SLA) Reports, identify Service Improvement Opportunities and recommend Action plan.

Notes:

• Staggered 8.5hr Shift – Between 7.30am to 7.30pm (SGT)
• Weekend duty as per roaster to support emergency cases.

Responsibilities:

• To provide accessible, timely, effective, efficient, and professional quality service to resolve problems and to delight.

• Be available to take calls.

• Prompt response to queries via voicemail / email / fax.

• Accurate assessment/ resolution of problems.

• Provide first level support to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.

• Incident tracking and first & second level resolution for all trouble calls, including those related to desktop, LAN, centralized infrastructure, Wide Area Network, and voice services related service requests.

• Coordination for employee user account administration, activation, changes, and terminations.

• Receive and answer all users' IT service request calls.

Requirement: 

• Min Nitec in any disciplines.

• Knowledge in Windows OS, Active Directory Account Administration, MS Outlook, mobile devices support.
