ABOUT EDITED HOMES
Edited Homesis is a digital-first interior styling studio helping expats, homeowners, and renters design beautiful, ready-to-style homes. We believe great design shouldn’t feel staged — it should feel collected, considered, and deeply personal. We work across aesthetics from Japandi and Warm Contemporary to Modern Indian Heritage and Peranakan, and we’re looking for someone who instinctively gets that difference.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Design & Sourcing Associate with a sharp aesthetic eye and genuine passion for interiors. You’ll work closely with our co-founder and Chief Stylist, Priya, to bring client briefs to life — from spatial layouts and moodboards through to curated sourcing and polished client deliverables.
You know what makes a room feel right. You have opinions about proportion, materiality, and why that sofa doesn’t actually work with that rug. You’re comfortable in SketchUp and AutoCAD, but tools are just tools — what sets you apart is your taste.
This is a mid-level role for someone with 2–4 years of experience who’s ready to own their work and contribute creatively from day one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Spatial Design & Visualisation
— Translate client briefs and room dimensions into clear, considered layouts using SketchUp.
— Model furniture arrangements that feel balanced, liveable, and aesthetically pleasing.
— Produce AutoCAD drawings where technical precision is needed.
— Iterate quickly based on client and design lead feedback.
2. Moodboard & Concept Development
— Build evocative, on-brand moodboards in Canva that communicate a clear design direction.
— Curate imagery, colour palettes, and material references that tell a coherent story.
— Ensure every board feels intentional — not just a collection of pretty things.
3. Furniture & Décor Sourcing
— Research and shortlist furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, and accessories that fit the brief aesthetically and practically.
— Source across multiple vendors with an eye for quality, value, and spatial fit.
— Cross-reference dimensions against layouts — the ottoman needs to actually fit.
— Maintain clean, organised sourcing sheets across projects.
4. Client-Ready Deliverables
— Prepare polished, well-structured documents and presentations for client review.
— Organise files, exports, and assets consistently so nothing gets lost between handoffs.
— Support Priya, our co-founder and Chief Stylist, in taking projects from brief to final delivery seamlessly.
5. On-Site Support
— Be available for site visits during project execution — checking that work is progressing as designed and flagging anything that needs to be addressed early.
— Conduct periodic audits of ongoing installations to ensure quality and consistency with the agreed design direction.
— Coordinate with vendors on the ground where required, following up on deliveries, timelines, and any on-site issues.
— Support Priya during styling sessions — an extra set of hands and eyes from someone who understands the vision.
6. AI-Assisted Workflows
— Use generative AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate research, drafting, and organisation.
— Stay curious about tools that make the creative process faster without making it feel generic.
WHO YOU ARE
— You have 2–4 years of experience in interior design, styling, or a related creative field.
— Your aesthetic is developed and defendable — you can articulate why something works, not just that it looks nice.
— Proficient in SketchUp; comfortable in AutoCAD.
— Skilled at building moodboards that feel like a point of view, not a Pinterest dump.
— Detail-oriented without losing sight of the overall feel — you sweat the small stuff because it matters, not out of habit.
— Self-directed and reliable — you take ownership and follow through.
— Comfortable with Canva, Google Sheets, and AI tools.
— Bonus: You know your way around Singapore’s furniture and décor scene — the good stuff and the underrated finds.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
— Real creative input on a diverse range of residential projects.
— A collaborative working environment with Priya, our co-founder and Chief Stylist, who has strong opinions and welcomes yours.
— Exposure to a growing studio with an expanding client base across Singapore.
— Flexibility in how and where you work.
— Compensation commensurate with your experience and what you bring to the table.
HOW TO APPLY
Send us your portfolio, moodboards, SketchUp work, or anything that shows us how you see the world — along with a short note about yourself. We’re not looking for the most qualified person on paper. We’re looking for someone with genuine taste, real curiosity, and the drive to do great work.
