Full job description:
The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company HSE standards. The role involves supervising on-site operations, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a safety-first culture throughout the construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work at Construction Site
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and relevant legislation.
- Implement and enforce safety plans, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Conduct site safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk control audits.
- Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings for all workers and staffs
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Promote proper use of PPE and ensure workers are trained in safe work practices.
- Liaise with construction management, main-contractors, and safety officers to address safety issues and implement improvements.
- Participate in emergency drills and ensure that firefighting and first aid equipment is maintained and accessible.
- Maintain all safety records, inspection checklists, and reports for audit and compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid DOSH / JKKP Yellow Book registration.
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in construction or finishing works (preferred).
- Good technical knowledge of flooring systems is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
- Able to work independently and troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Must possess a valid driving license and be willing to travel to various project sites based on schedule.
Service under: Contract for Service
- Contract duration: 12 months
- Allowance for work on Sunday / Public Holiday
- Potential contract renewal based on performance
