Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end finance operations and management account preparation for Polisea Labuan Ltd, the insurance arm of PolicyStreet Group.

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing
• Responsible for the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of management account packs, financial statements and regulatory submission.
• Maintain and ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger records.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules, debtor and creditor statements of accounts and perform account reconciliations.

Accounts Payable & Treasury
• Prepare payment submissions and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper controls over cash transactions.

Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
• Liaise with external auditors, company secretaries and regulators in supporting statutory audit and regulatory filing processes.
• Assist in implementing of new accounting software, accounting policies and internal controls 

• Degree in Accounting or professional qualification.
• Candidates who are currently pursuing professional accounting qualifications are encouraged to apply
• 3–6 years of experience in financial reporting, month-end close, and management accounts.
• Preferred: Experience in general insurance, reinsurance, or general takaful, with exposure to IFRS 17.
• Open to audit background, specifically Financial Institutions (Insurance) clients, OR finance reporting experience in SaaS, fintech, or digital platform businesses with subscription-based revenue/deferred revenue models.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and audit/regulatory reporting.

• Proven experience in People Operations with strong knowledge of employment law across SEA markets

What you’ll be doing

A DAY IN A LIFE

Regional Accounts Receivable Leadership

• Lead and manage the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) process across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate billing, cash application, collections and account reconciliations.
• Develop and implement regional AR strategies, policies and procedures to improve cash collection performance and reduce overdue receivables.
• Monitor customer credit exposure, establish credit control frameworks and support commercial teams in customer onboarding and credit assessments.
• Drive collection effectiveness through proactive aging management, escalation protocols and dispute resolution processes.
• Partner with business leaders to identify and mitigate collection risks, bad debt exposure and customer payment issues.
• Review and approve provisions for doubtful debts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and Group policies.
• Monitor AR ageing, collection effectiveness, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), overdue balances and cash conversion metrics across all markets.

Intercompany Management

• Own the end-to-end intercompany process across the region, including intercompany billing, recharge mechanisms, settlements, reconciliations and balance confirmations.
• Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately recorded, supported and aligned with Group accounting policies and transfer pricing requirements.
• Drive timely resolution of intercompany mismatches and aged balances across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual intercompany closing activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead regional intercompany netting and settlement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce funding requirements.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury and Finance teams to ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and cross-border transaction requirements.

Governance, Controls and Compliance

• Establish and maintain a robust control environment for Accounts Receivable and Intercompany processes across the region.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, indirect tax regulations (GST, VAT, Sales Tax and other relevant taxes), Group policies and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring completeness of documentation and audit readiness across all jurisdictions.

3. Revenue Integrity & AWB Governance

• Verification & Audit: Lead the systematic audit of Air Waybills (AWB) to ensure shipments are captured at the correct rates and surcharges.
• Reprocessing: Manage the team’s workflow for reprocessing incorrectly rated shipments, ensuring revenue recovery and preventing billing disputes.
• Root Cause Mitigation: Work with cross-functional teams (CTOs, system, and finance) to identify why rating errors occur and implement system-level fixes.

4. Ancillary & Cost-Linked Pricing (Other Charges)

• Surcharge Management: Manage and update all "Other Charges" (Fuel Surcharges, Security, Terminal Handling, etc.) across the network.
• Cost-to-Price Synchronization: Monitor underlying cost changes (vendor increases, fuel fluctuations, or regulatory fees) and ensure these are timely adjusted within "Other Charges" to protect net margins.
• Ancillary Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to introduce or optimize service-based charges to enhance total revenue per shipment.

5. Rate Lifecycle & System Integrity

• Agile Rate Updates: Oversee a team of Pricing Executives in loading and updating Contractual, Published, and Market rates in the core system with 100% accuracy.
• Market Benchmarking: Periodically review and adjust published rates to ensure Teleport remains competitive and aligned with current market demand and capacity shifts.

• Claims & Policy Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and stakeholder management across insurers, brokers, and internal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Management/Administration, Finance, Economics and/or related disciplines.

• Additional qualifications in financial planning or investment analysis are advantageous.
• Solid experience in outbound telesales, client relations or a similar role within the stockbroking/finance services company or outbound call center in related industries (fintech, stock brokerage, financial or investment products) is preferred.
• Candidates must have at least 1–3 years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Exposure and possessing of product knowledge on capital market, US stock market and investment related field will be an advantage.
• Must have US financial licenses (SIE, S7 and S63) or the willingness to licenses as part of probation requirements.
• Language proficiency in English and Mandarin (reading and spoken) is a must.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy skills.
• Independent, self-motivated, and quick learning team player with strong result-driven skills.
• Able to work well under pressure, meticulous and detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
