The L2 Leader is responsible for leading and supervising Level 2 (L2) operational activities within the IT Shared Services Center (IT SSC) scope, ensuring that service are delivered effectively, consistently, and in line with defined procedures and priorities. The role provides day‑to‑day operational leadership to L2 teams, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests assigned to L2. In addition, the L2 Leader contributes to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, inefficiencies, or skill gaps within L2 operations. This role is key for maintaining service continuity, balancing operational demand with available capacity, and providing clear guidance to the L2 teams to meet service commitments and performance expectations.

The IT SSC Lead is accountable for the overall performance, stability, and effectiveness of the IT Shared Services Center (SSC), ensuring consistent service quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to the defined operating model across all service towers and support levels in the SSC. The role provides end‑to‑end leadership of SSC operations, maintaining alignment between service delivery objectives, capacity planning, and day‑to‑day execution. The IT SSC Lead should be aligned with the local Global Business Services (GBS) structure to ensure that the SSC operates under the appropriate structural, financial, and workforce conditions required to meet current and anticipated demand. In addition, the role reviews service performance on an ongoing basis and actively promotes continuous improvement to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and overall SSC effectiveness.
 

1. Service Delivery & Operational Coordination

a. Oversee day-to-day SSC operations to ensure adherence to procedures and priorities, and

that activities progress as planned.

b. Provide guidance to support leads (L1 and L2) on prioritization and task execution.

c. Coordinate with L2 Leader to prevent cross-tower conflicts and assist on the resolution of

complex incidents or recurring operational issues.

d. Coordinate with L1 Lead to ensure proper triage and progressive uptake of first-level

corrective activities.

e. Ensure ticket escalations are managed consistently across the SSC.

f. Facilitate resolution of cross-tower or cross-level operational dependencies impacting service

delivery.

2. Governance & GBS Alignment

a. Make operational decisions in complex or ambiguous situations affecting IT SSC delivery.

b. Act as the main operational interface between IT SSC, GBS leadership and IT tower

stakeholders.

c. Hold operational reviews with GBS Leader and GBS Division Managers on local topics

impacting SSC delivery (capacity, hiring plans, local constraints).

d. Align medium-term capacity needs with GBS to ensure SSC sustainability.

e. Act as the primary escalation point for major or recurring operational issues impacting service

stability.
3. Service Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement a. Support regular performance reviews focusing on service delivery, capacity and operational efficiency. b. Track service performance analyzing SLAs, SLOs and other service stability indicators. c. Identify areas of improvement or optimization opportunities. d. Drive the evolution of the L1 operating model to increase first-level corrective resolution and reduce avoidable load on L2. e. Ensure knowledge Management practices are executed to build internal capability and reduce dependency on higher support levels. f. Identify operational performance trends, recurring issues and deviations which may impact service quality, and trigger corrective actions if needed.

Job Description

Ensure supplier master data accuracy and compliance across ERP systems, with special focus on Spanish-speaking supplier markets.

Interpret information correctly and able to make sound decisions to support the business while maintaining controls during set up.

Apply corporate rules and best practices when reviewing requests to identify errors in global data fields and rejects, escalates or remediates errors, if any.

Create, update, and validate supplier records, including tax IDs, banking details, and certifications in both English and Spanish.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality of data.

Perform regular review and clean-up of master data.

Ensure internal controls relating to maintenance of master data are in place and effective.

Support implementation of master data process improvement initiatives.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establishes controls to monitor the performance of the management systems.
• Validate, evaluate and classify incident / requests.
• Determine resolution and/or escalation path to ensure all issues are appropriately managed.
• Evaluate content of requests / incident report and gather information if missing any.
• Record distinct issues in the tracking tools.
• Keep track of known solutions, consult knowledge database and use findings to respond to senders/callers.
• Keep track of severity/priority 1 issues for appropriate escalation and follow-up.
• Recognize solutions for repetitive use and enter those in knowledge database.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The R2R Specialist is responsible for providing business unit general accounting and internal control support in line with IFRS, including preparation and posting of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheet accounts, completion of the month end closing transactions/procedures and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances are appropriately reconciled.
She/he is responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of preparation about the general ledger, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, treasury transactions and bank reconciliations as well as for the associated reporting requirements.

Moreover, he/she is responsible for accounts’ analysis and supports senior colleagues in carrying out responsibilities of the accounting department, contacts client to resolve accounting queries, cooperates with auditors.

He/she follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place, initiates Desktop Procedures updates whenever required and actively seeks for improvements.

RTR Specialist assures delivery of services as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) /KPI’s applicable for the role.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

-  Responsible for preparation and posting of journal entries for the designated SGS Affiliates.

- Creation, distribution and maintenance of standard GL, FA, INV, Intercompany Transaction reports to corporate and business units.

- Ensuring data integrity and preparing financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.

- Performing the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem feeds, making materiality decisions on closing entries and communicating to customers when the monthly trial balance is finalized.

- Maintaining accountability for the standard chart of accounts and for the preparation of account analysis/reconciliations on a timely basis.

Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of rice hybrid products—prioritizing on-time New Product Introduction (NPI)—from early-stage selection through pre-commercial advancement, registration, supply readiness, and commercial launch. This role orchestrates disciplined cross-functional delivery with Rice R&D, Agronomy & Technical Services, Production & Supply, and Field Crops Regulatory to ensure data-driven advancement decisions, compliant registrations, and reliable seed availability.

Portfolio Management

• Maintain the rice hybrid portfolio roadmap (pipeline, advancement, phase‑out plans).
• Ensure Target Product Profiles reflect real market needs (segment, maturity, competition, disease pressure).
• Help define pricing, positioning, naming, and labeling.
• Lead post‑launch performance reviews and gather feedback from growers and channel partners.

NPI (New Product Introduction) Management

• Own the full NPI plan and stage‑gate timeline for all rice hybrids.
• Maintain a master tracker of milestones, risks, owners, and deadlines.
• Lead weekly team check-ins and monthly governance meetings.
• Prepare decision packs for go/no‑go discussions, including trial data, product fit, supply, and financials.
• Identify risks early (e.g., registration delays, seed issues, trial failures) and drive solutions.

Collaboration with Key Functions

With Rice R&D

• Align on TPPs and criteria for hybrid selection.
• Ensure consistent data capture (yield, quality, milling %, disease tolerance, maturity, etc.).
• Prepare shortlists for advancement gates.

With Agronomy & Technical Services

• Review and align on trial design (checks, replication, locations, data quality).
• Ensure trials generate solid, market‑relevant data to back product claims.
• Build field positioning and agronomic recommendations for launch.
• Coordinate Hybrid Promotions Committee meetings.

With Production & Supply

• Ensure timely parent seed hand‑off (A/B/R lines) and seed increase planning.
• Track seed production progress and quality (purity, germination).
• Coordinate seed allocation for demos, trials, and sales kits.

With Field Crops Regulatory

• Track registration dossier preparation, submission, and approval.
• Ensure compliance in labeling and claims.
• Maintain an updated regulatory tracker and escalate risks when needed.

Market Readiness & Commercial Enablement

• Lead demo plot planning and collect validated product performance claims.
• Work with Commercial Excellence to develop training materials.

• Represent Syngenta in scientific and technical forums, contributing insights on hybrid performance, trait efficacy, and sustainable agronomic practices.
