The Communications Platform team manages the full lifecycle of every critical communication sent across Grab. We are responsible for empowering our business and delivering truly delightful, personalized, and reliable experiences for all our consumers and partners.
Our extensive and exciting scope includes:
- Intelligent Optimization: Developing the optimization and personalization layers that make every message smarter and more relevant.
- Core Channels: Owning all of Grab's crucial two-way communication channels (e.g., in-app chat, push notifications).
- Empowering Tools: Building the powerful internal tools that enable marketing and operations teams to easily create and manage large-scale, impactful campaigns.
We drive innovation and operational excellence by turning data into actionable strategies that elevate the end-to-end experience for consumers, driver-partners, and merchant-partners. Get to Know the Role
You will report to the Product Analytics Manager, Communications Platform Team and you'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines (Product, Business, Engineering, Design, Data Science) to transform data into dynamic solutions. Your insights will directly contribute to developing groundbreaking products and initiatives, setting new benchmarks for excellence. This isn't just any role; it's a chance to make a tangible impact on millions of lives every day.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Dive deep into data to align with business objectives, recommending novel, data-driven solutions, including AI/ML strategies, to address key customer challenges.
- Define, track, and measure critical business metrics. Develop analytical frameworks and sophisticated models to examine product configurations and validate hypotheses.
- Design, implement, and analyze rigorous A/B tests and experiments to guide product decisions, ensuring findings lead to clear, data-backed recommendations.
- Proactively define and monitor key metrics, performing root cause analysis on metric shifts or anomalies to quickly deliver actionable insights.
- Transform complex data into concise, high-quality insights via reports and dashboards for executive decision-making, and contribute to data pipeline and custom data science model development.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have at least 4 years of experience in data-related or quantitative fields such as Analytics, Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- You are fluent with SQL, Python, R or other scripting/programming languages.
- You are experienced in handling large datasets and maintaining complex Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
- You have solid statistical knowledge and hands-on experience running and analysing controlled experiments.
- You are proficient in creating dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI or other visualisation tools.
