This role is ideally suited to a mid- to senior-level finance lawyer looking to gain international experience and expand their exposure to cross-border financing transactions across Asia. Key Responsibilities

As an example, with the developer role, we are currently building a new modern trade entry platform that covers FX, Money Market products from trade capture through to settlement to enable us to decommission a legacy platform.

In the Level 3 support role you will be expected to help troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner whilst ensuring minimal business impact, this will require liaising with regional and global teams. The L3 role will be APAC hours focused.

You will have the skillset to be both self-driven/independent as well as working within the global teams/agile teams in support of the various deliverables in flight.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all requirements, process artefacts, and acceptance criteria support predictable delivery and mitigate risk, including early identification of gaps, impacts, and potential failure points.

• Proactively inform and align support partners of upcoming changes, ensuring they understand impacts, risks, and required actions to maintain production stability.

• Support testing and quality assurance by participating in functional reviews, clarifying requirements, identifying defects early, and ensuring quality standards are met before delivery.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years or more working experience as software engineer

• Prior experience of relational databases

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other engineering degree

• Good communication skills and experience in working in a virtual/global team. 

• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in python.

• Extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns

• Experience in agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM) and with CI/CD tools

• Experience in Web UI (Angular, NodeJS, Spring, REST)

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

• Experience interacting with Business product owners and end users to define new software requirements and triage any issues that arise.

Desired Skills

• Financial Services/Banking experience

• Understanding of various financial instruments Interest rate swaps, FX swap and bond is preferred but not required

• CI/CD, JIRA, Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins

• Scripting language knowledge like Perl or Python

• Experience of working on Quartz and remote risk is a plus

Job Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors transactional collateral for commodity structured trade finance.
• Responsible for transactional and operational integrity of the credit facility structure especially in areas of settlement risk, operational risk, and performance risk.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers, back-office operations and Credit Risk Managers (CRM) as well as sales and product to coordinate and leverage on the expertise of each party.
• Ensures that all credit policies, NPAs, and SOPs are adhered to and update all transactions.
• To deliver structured trade finance services to clients in accordance with established quality, service standards and established procedures, policy, and standards.
• Perform Mark to Market (MTM) valuation, monitor cash collateral requirements follow up on top-ups when under-collateralised.
• Monitor Loan to Value (LTV) ratio to ensure that it is not breached and conduct margin calls whenever necessary.
• Alert Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers of any potential risks which might endanger the underlying asset or identify the source of repayment in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity and structured trade middle office and or back office.
• Attentive to details with good analytical skills and the ability to understand the intrinsic transactional risks.
• Able to cope with pressure and meet tight timeline.
• Team player with excellent organisational and interactive skills.
• Knowledge of trade-based rules such as UCP600, ISBP745, URC525 and Incoterms 2021.
