Duties & Responsibilities
· Support the company’s operations through the purchase of materials and services from local and overseas sources
· Source for materials and services which offer the best value
· Purchase materials required in a timely manner
· Coordinate with operations and inventory management to ensure items required are purchased in a timely manner in shipyard store
· Ensure the quality of materialspurchased and that they are delivered ina timely manner
Requirements
· A university degree in any discipline
· At least 2 years’ experience inprocurement of materials and services from various sources, including overseassources
· Ability to negotiate effectively tosecure best value for the Company
- · Ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Ability to navigate overseas supplier language barriers with ease.
- Ability to lias with internal stakeholders and inventory control executives at dispersed locations.
