About the Role

As we continue to expand our presence, we're seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Trainee Oil Broker.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Trainee Oil Broker, you'll embark on a comprehensive 6-9 month training program in Singapore, with the opportunity to relocate upon completion. Working closely with our experienced team, you'll develop the skills and knowledge required to:

- Monitor financial markets and stay abreast of market developments to provide informed support to clients.

- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of traded products, including new offerings and procedural updates.

- Foster strong relationships with clients through regular communication, understanding their business objectives, and delivering tailored broking services.

- Cultivate and expand existing client relationships while identifying opportunities to establish new partnerships.

- Analyze market trends, data, and statistics to identify business opportunities aligned with client needs.

- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of pricing spreads.

- Maintain precise and up-to-date trade records.

- Provide support for day-to-day tasks, including ad hoc reporting, research, and client communications, as assigned by management.

- Diploma or Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or a related field

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We are seeking an experienced and driven Fuel Oil Broker to join our high-performing team in Singapore. You will be required to maintain and grow a portfolio of trading clients, providing market insights, price discovery and facilitate execution of trades in oil and energy derivatives.

Job Responsibilities

Trade Support & Monitoring

• Ensure accurate capture and booking of trades in internal systems

• Monitor and validate trade details (currency pair, notional, rate, value date, etc.)

• Resolve trade discrepancies with counterparties or the front office

• Perform trade reconciliation and manage co broking trades

• Handle internal and external email queries

• Assist brokers with trade related issues

• Any other ad-hoc duties required by the organisation

 Client Service & Documentation

• Support client onboarding, including KYC documentation

• Respond to client queries and prepare trade confirmations

• Maintain operational relationships with brokers and counterparties

Process & Control Management

• Maintain robust process controls to prevent errors and ensure compliance

• Support internal audits and regulatory reviews

• Drive continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk
