Assistant Manager, Ecommerce Growth

As an Assistant Manager, Ecommerce Growth, you will look after driving regional Ecommerce campaign performance and achieving sales targets. This role involves coordinating effectively with multiple stakeholders across various countries to ensure seamless execution and success. A critical aspect of this position is leveraging strong analytical skills to set campaign targets and KPIs, rigorously tracking performance, and proactively developing additional strategies as needed. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough post-mortem analyses following campaigns and contributing to the success of future campaigns. 

Additionally, this role will dedicate will spearhead Ecommerce growth initiatives specifically for the Philippines market. This includes creating comprehensive strategic plans, overseeing social media engagement, developing marketing initiatives, and managing the full marketing calendar for the region.

• Leading and executing regional Ecommerce campaigns, ensuring coordination and alignment with diverse stakeholders across multiple countries to meet sales objectives
• Establishing clear campaign targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), continuously tracking performance, and implementing corrective actions or new plans to optimize results
• Conducting detailed post-mortem analysis of completed campaigns and events, identifying successes, areas for improvement and actionable insights
• Developing and implementing comprehensive Ecommerce strategies and marketing calendars specifically for the Philippines market
• Managing and optimizing social media presence and marketing initiatives for the Philippines, driving engagement and sales growth
• Owning sales forecasting and performance reporting in alignment with financial calendar, including budget management and spend tracking of Sephora Philippines
• Developing and implementing comprehensive Ecommerce strategies for the Philippines market, driving growth through localized campaigns and social media presence

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Ecommerce, demonstrating a strong track record of driving online sales and growth
• Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies
• A collaborative mindset with excellent coordination and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional and international teams
• A proactive problem-solver who can adapt quickly to changing market conditions and campaign performance
• Highly organized with strong project management capabilities, able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Experience in developing and executing marketing calendars and social media strategies
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus

The Opportunity

Sephora Digital’s Technology team builds products that power our business across South East Asia & Oceania. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Discovery squad, the team responsible for building products and features around increasing organic traffic to key pages like landing or product details while improving the experience for search and recommendations. This includes performance enhancements, SEO, cutting edge technologies like micro frontend, and many more to deliver an engaging experience to our users. This is a key position in the team as we increase our capacity to deliver an ambitious roadmap to our many fans across 16 countries.  

Responsibilities:

• Help lead the modernisation of our user-facing pages by leveraging technologies and patterns such as Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and micro-frontends.
• Oversee integrations and performance improvements for 3rd party tools which provide additional functionality such as Dynamic Yield, Olapic.
• Enhance our search capabilities and performance to improve internal navigation and product discovery.
• Work with stakeholders to create campaign content creation mechanisms to increase customer engagement and delight users.
• Manage and mentor one or more Junior / Software Engineers within the squad to help grow their capabilities.

Requirements:

• You have at least 5+ years of experience working on large scale, complex web applications.
• You have demonstrated experience in designing, building and maintaining scalable, adaptable APIs in production environments.
• You have a good understanding of web pages and browsers, including how content is rendered and implications on performance.
• You are very proficient in Javascript and at least one modern high level programming language like Ruby / Python etc.
• You have built engaging UIs with one or more modern Javascript frameworks Angular / Vue / React etc.
• You understand the value of automated testing at the appropriate level and actively do so.
• You are a team player and happy to communicate with the other teams in the company (Product Managers, UI / UX Designers, and more importantly fellow engineers locally and abroad).

Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and shape the future of beauty Ecommerce in Southeast Asia. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Machine Learning Engineering in the tech organization and be part of a highly collaborative team delivering and deploying robust ML models and LLM-based applications to production environments. This high impact role will be directly responsible to build and update our ML and AI applications that power multiple high-touch consumer experiences across our native mobile app, website, and in-store across all countries in SEA, ANZ and India, with collaboration on key topics with global MLE teams in Europe, China and US.

• Architecting, developing, training and deploying production, real-time Machine Learning (ML) applications
• Using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch / Torch lightning to develop and iterate on ML models such as recommendation engines, NLP, Computer Vision, etc while ensuring datasets are relevant, complete, and picking suitable model architecture to fit business needs
• Using high performance Python frameworks like FastAPI or LitServe to serve real time ML models with high throughput and low latency
• Managing the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data extraction, feature engineering, model training, performance monitoring, deployment, and continuous retraining using Kubeflow Pipelines on GCP VertexAI, Cloud Run and Big Query
• Leveraging open source LLM Agent frameworks to design and develop LLM Agents and workflows, choosing between pure prompt-engineering and fine-tuning when needed
• Continuously improving the performance of deployed ML and AI applications by researching and implementing advanced ML techniques and new AI capabilities, with a focus on areas like recommendation engineers, reinforcement learning and Agentic AI
• Collaborating with scrum master, product manager, data engineer, and peers to define and secure clean, scalable data sources using advanced Big Query SQL for model training and evaluation
• Staying on top of the latest developments in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning spaces, continuously bringing new state-of-the-art techniques to solve various business and customer problems

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

• At least 5 years of experience building and scaling real-time production ML applications, transformer model experience is a plus
• Strong proficiency in ML orchestration tools like Kubeflow Pipelines, Airflow, ZenML, etc and ML frameworks like Pytorch with a proven track record in setting up MLOps pipelines and deploying ML models to production
• Strong Python programming knowledge and experience in API frameworks such as FastAPI, Severless cloud computing knowledge on GCP is a plus
• Familiarity with dataset curation through BigQuery SQL, DBT, and pre-processing using PySpark / Polars
• A demonstrated ability to understand and translate business requirements into ML applications, past experience working on real-time recommendation engines and reinforcement learning is a plus
• Ability to connect the dots between technical data science / machine learning technologies and business context
