- To review, implement and maintain the workplace safety and health standards of SBST premises to ensure compliance to all the regulatory requirements of the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislative requirements.
- Required to travel around Singapore and to work in outdoor work environment on a daily basis.
- To perform duties of a Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to support the Bus Business about WSH matters to be compliance to the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislative requirements.
- To evaluate WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices to identify WSH performance gaps.
- To carry out WSH compliance audit and inspection.
- To attend, to conduct WSH incident investigations (including non-working hours when required) and to review investigation findings to identify root cause of incident.
- To act as Secretary of WSH Committee meeting of the workplaces.
- To implement, conduct document reviews of WSH Management System (WSHMS), identify areas for improvement in the WSHMS and maintain documentation.
- To coordinate WSH programme initiatives.
- To develop and deliver presentations, safety briefings, training materials, circulars, etc.
- To conduct briefing/ training to stakeholders, e.g. contractor, staff, etc.
- To support WSH policy and procedure implementation.
- To prepare and tabulate monthly reports relating to WSH matters such as statistic update.
- To conduct periodic review of incident trends and effectiveness of WSH performance, and make recommendations for improvements.
- To review, assess and evaluate of Access Permit Application/ PTW submission by staff and appointed contractors to ensure adequacy on reasonably practicable measures been taken to ensure the safety and health of the person carrying out the work.
- To liaise with relevant authorities (e.g. LTA, MOM, etc) on WSH related matters.
- Any other ad-hoc job assignments by the company.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Occupational Safety and/or Environmental Health or related fields
- Completed the WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (Level C) course or higher
- Auditor trainined in ISO45001:2008
- Completed Work At Height (WAH) Assessor course
- Relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
- Preferably with at least minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in WSH relating to engineering, construction planning or facilities management, including WSH program management in such field.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent decision, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with local regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety
- Able to work independently under minimum supervision, within a dynamic work environment.
