In this role, you will work closely with the Management Team to support the growth, performance, and value creation of our portfolio companies, as well as execute fund-level operations. You may also be involved in the broader ecosystem-building efforts, including think-tank initiatives and industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and analyse the financial performance and operational metrics of assigned portfolio companies. Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify market trends, risks and opportunities on specific portfolio companies. Provide insightful analysis and assist in regular reviews with the Management Team.
· Work with the Management Team to assist the portfolio company leadership to implement growth initiatives, operational improvements and strategic value creation plans.
· Support the preparation of portfolio reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Limited Partners).
· Contribute to annual audit cycles, such as gathering of commercial and financial information from portfolio companies, the preparation of the fund/portfolio valuation analysis, and liaising with stakeholders such as the auditors and portfolio companies.
· Support the interaction with third-party service providers such as the fund administrator, corporate secretary, and other fund-related service providers.
· Assist in managing aspects of the office such as policies and procedures, as well as coordination of meetings, events, and team-building activities.
· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including investors, start-ups, and industry partners to enhance both portfolio impact and future deal flow.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university is required.
· Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Management Consulting or Corporate Development, with exposure to portfolio management or post-deal value creation preferred.
· Strong network and deep understanding of the Private Equity, Venture Capital and start-up ecosystem.
· Critical-thinking, analytical rigor and sound decision-making capabilities.
· Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques and scenario analysis.
· Strong grasp of AI and associated math models and technologies is preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
· Detail-orientated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
