Job Summary

You will manage a class of 10-18 primary school students, guiding their homework and activities, conducting educational and recreational programs, maintaining records, ensuring safety and discipline, and building strong relationships with parents and the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage a class of 10-18 primary school students to support their learning and development
• Apply knowledge of primary school curricular content in English, Mathematics, Science, and Chinese to guide students effectively
• Supervise and assist students with homework, spelling, and Centre activities to ensure completion and understanding
• Mark and correct students’ work to provide timely feedback on their progress
• Conduct evening English activities such as news sharing, discovery, and general knowledge sessions to enhance language skills
• Lead moral education activities to instill values and good habits in children
• Organize and facilitate art, craft, and outdoor activities to promote creativity and physical engagement
• Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a safe and disciplined learning environment
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and individual progress for each child
• Plan and implement holiday programmes to provide continuous learning and enrichment
• Serve lunch and tea breaks while ensuring children’s well-being and care
• Prepare daily lesson plans to engage children actively in learning
• Prepare and maintain teaching resources and the classroom environment to support effective learning
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders through regular communication
• Liaise with parents regarding their children’s progress and Centre activities to foster collaboration
• Demonstrate a creative spirit and positive mindset as an inspiring role model for students
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues as a responsible team player
• Utilize computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support administrative and teaching tasks
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties delegated by the Centre’s manager

- University and polytechnic undergrad having their terms break are welcomed to join our Centre.

- University and polytechnic undergrad looking for long term/ regular part-time jobs are also welcomed to join our Centre.

"A" level holders waiting for results are welcomed to join our Centre.

- training will be provided for those without experience.

- Assist main Teacher to manage a class of 10-18 students

- Familiarity with primary school curricular content (minimum understanding is important), English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese. This is not required for those without experience.

- Supervise and provide guidance to primary school children in their homework, spelling and Centre’s activities with the guidance of main teacher for those without experience.

- Mark student’s work and corrections

- Need to ensure that school homework is completed

- Conduct evening English activities (news sharing, discovery, general knowledge) and moral education activities.

- Assist main teacher to conduct activities including art and craft and outdoor activities.

- Providing care and concern for children's well being

- Managing any behavioural issues or concerns that arise with children in the student care with the guidance of main teacher for those without experience.

- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, activities, and progress of each child in the student care.

- Conduct in-house programme and instill good habits and values in children

- Serve lunch and tea-break

- Ensure classroom discipline and safety of children under your care with the guidance of main teacher.

- Being an inspiring role model with a creative spirit and a champion (positive) mindset.

- Be a great team player & responsible colleagues!

- Building and maintaining relationships with parents, guardians and community stakeholders. Not required for those without experience.

- Assist main teacher to maintain cleaniness of classroom, prepare and upkeep teaching resources, arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom.

- assist main Teacher to prepare daily lesson plans to ensure children is engaged.

- Computer literate, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

- Any other ad-hoc duties as delegated by Centre’s manager.
