RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for procuring goods and services, negotiating complex agreements, and coordination of all business-related activities with the suppliers assigned to the Buyer
• Individual needs to possess a high level of understanding of legal requirements involved in the procurement function
• The Probe Card/Equipment buyer also assists the Purchasing Analysts in day-to-day activities and training as needed
• Analyzes purchases to develop strategic and long-term procurement strategies
• Negotiates, writes, and reviews complex contracts up to high dollar levels
• Monitors and manages supplier performance through metrics and business reviews
• Initiates and leads cross functional continuous improvement projects for savings, productivity, and/or systems capability enhancements
• Demonstrates a high level of judgement and business experience
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Purchasing or Business, or a related degree with 5 years of more equivalent work experience in purchasing and/or sourcing preferred
• Master's degree a plus
• CPM/CPSM certification in good standing through ISM preferred
• Adept at MS Office products and an Enterprise Resource System (SAP preferred)
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Strong sourcing and procurement background required
• Experience working with suppliers of Semiconductor Probe and Test Cards/Equipment in support of Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with V-Look Ups, X-Look Up, Pivot Tables within Microsoft Excel
• CPM/CPSM certification through ISM
• Experience working within SAP
• Experience working with suppliers of semiconductor spare parts, components, or consumables
• Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance in sourcing and purchasing activities

The position involves strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Responsible for OSAT (Bumping, DPS, Assembly, and Final Test) quality performance to ensure meeting Qorvo out-going products quality requirement, protect Qorvo customer and revenue from quality risk
• Ensure Best-in-class quality performance from key suppliers and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.
• Develop strategies and drive continuous improvement to mitigate risks and meet customer expectations. Specific responsibilities include:
• Change Control: Manage and approve supplier and OSAT changes, ensuring minimal impact on production and quality. Review supplier’s change management processes and lead supplier continuous improvement programs.
• Quality Scorecard: Develop and track supplier and OSAT scorecards, driving quality performance improvements. Manage and drive supplier quality performance to meet or exceed KPI goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in Supplier and OSAT quality performance. Initiate, organize, and lead cross-functional task forces for short-term problem-solving and long-term continuous improvement.
• Supplier and OSAT Development: Collaborate with suppliers and OSATs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Monitor process performance indices on qualified processes and establish proactive control systems to maintain and improve process performance.
• Risk Management & Mitigation: Identify and mitigate supplier and OSAT-related risks, ensuring business continuity.
• Supplier and OSAT Audit: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Address customer audit findings, implementing corrective actions and process improvements. Investigate customer quality complaints and RMAs; drive 8D corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of customer quality issues.

Job Requirements : 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, Quality) with >10 years of Semiconductor Industry experience, with a focus on supplier quality management, process engineering, or quality assurance.
• Demonstrated good track record of managing complex supplier quality programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and working cross-functionally with suppliers and internal teams.
• Certifications and Expertise In-depth knowledge of international quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 etc.) is essential.
• Practical familiarity with quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, 8D problem solving, and supplier audit methodologies is highly valuable.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is an advantage.
• Skills and Attributes: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are mandatory for interacting with internal teams and suppliers.
• Fluency in English and ability to lead process improvement, audits, and supplier development projects.
• Proactive, relationship-focused, and capable of negotiating and convincing stakeholders to achieve quality objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Early engagement & execution of a Packaging Technology development working with OSAT partner on-site aligned with cooperate roadmap to meet future Qorvo Business Unit needs
• Could Manage multiple projects for package development from risk assessment, process /BOM establishment, qualification.
• Lead and Manage OSAT New Technology and New Product Introduction, Qualification, HVM, in a timely and flawless manner
• Strong problem-solving skill in Assembly engineering and leadership working with OSATs partner & cross functional team in Qorvo
• Utilize program management methodology to plan, execute and monitor complex process and/or product development projects.
• Strong communication, presentation skills, ability to excel in a dynamic collaborative team environment including working directly with the R&D, Quality and Product line is necessary.
• Provide best in class industry “know-how” to enable continued global leadership of QORVO package solutions
• Think and act professionally in the consistent Manner as a Qorvo engineering representative of on-site OSAT
• Manage/Coach QI’s engineering resource from the daily work
• Position will be in Singapore which have Qorvo’s strategic technology development center
• Could manage other work centers as well upon requested

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Material Science engineering or a related field with a minimum of 10 years in semiconductor packaging or assembly engineering industry
• Good communication skill with open minded to learn semiconductor area: Bumping, DPS and Assembly process
• Good attitude, detail-orientated, proactive, quick learner and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills with willingness to take accountability
• Ability to address internal and external customer complaints and do multi-tasking
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive supplier performance
