Job Description

• Manage the day-to-day business operations of grooming centre
• Ensure all grooming appointments properly scheduled
• Ensure pet grooming equipment are well maintained
• Perform pet grooming based on the best practices and customers’ needs
• Ensure workplace safety, hygiene level and cleanliness of the grooming centre
• Ensure safety of pets throughout the grooming process
• Ensure that all pets are well taken care of and in compliance with AVA guidelines
• Highlight abnormalities of pets to the customers to avoid unnecessary conflicts or misunderstanding
• Adhere to all the retail SOP, company’s policies, processes, and procedures;
• Upsell pet care products;
• Feedback to Supervisor on customer needs or operations matters;
• Practice professionalism and act in the best interests of the company, in all aspects;
• Any other duties / tasks / projects as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of pet grooming experience
• Possess Pet Grooming Certificate or related experince
• Able to supervise and oversee the role of Assistant Groomers.
• 6 days work week, including weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable working with animals
• No allergies to animals, their food, or supplies.
• Experience in handling animals
• Must genuinely love animals
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently

Job Scope:

• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Encourage and motivate the sales team to upsell grooming services, retail products, and special promotions.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth.
• Foster a customer-centric environment by ensuring all interactions prioritize exceptional service.
• Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally.
• Train and supervise staff to provide knowledgeable assistance regarding grooming services and products.
• Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of grooming supplies, pet accessories, and retail products.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and optimize product turnover.
• Train, and supervise a team of sales associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products and services.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate sales targets, promotions, and new product information.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
• Ensure the shop is well-organized, clean, and adheres to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with grooming and administrative teams to streamline operational processes.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.
• Work closely with the marketing department to implement and promote special offers, events, and loyalty programs.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor of Degree in Marketing or a related field
• Possess working experience of marketing, customer services, or operation management.
• Familiarity with various grooming tools and techniques.
• Ability to handle and groom pets of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
• Passion for animals and their well-being.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs
• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Attendto emergency call beyond working hours when required
