Job Summary

Provide professional hair care services including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments while consulting clients to meet their preferences. Maintain salon cleanliness and support daily operations to ensure excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver haircuts, hair washing, blow-drying, styling, coloring, and treatment services to clients
• Consult with clients to identify their hairstyle preferences and hair care needs
• Recommend hairstyles, colors, and hair care products tailored to client requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the salon area, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe environment
• Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products to enhance service quality
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service
• Assist with managing appointments, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting salon operations as needed

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role
• Knowledge of haircutting, coloring, styling, and hair treatment techniques
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Creativity, attention to detail, and responsibility
• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays if required
• Relevant hairdressing certification is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Manage daily salon operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery
• Supervise hairstylists, assistants, receptionists, and other salon staff to maintain team performance and service quality
• Create and manage staff schedules and attendance to optimize resource allocation and meet client demand
• Train, support, and motivate team members to enhance skills and foster a positive work environment
• Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction through proactive engagement and quality control
• Handle client complaints or concerns professionally to resolve issues and maintain client loyalty
• Monitor salon cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards to comply with health regulations and create a safe environment
• Manage bookings, appointments, and walk-in clients efficiently to maximize salon capacity and client convenience
• Track sales, services, and retail product performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Order and manage salon supplies, products, and equipment to maintain adequate inventory and operational readiness
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and inventory to support business analysis and decision-making
• Support marketing promotions and client retention activities to increase customer base and repeat business
• Ensure staff follow company policies and industry regulations to uphold professional standards and compliance
